The Call Center Specialist receives intake calls and unplanned individual/ family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, a sense of service and urgency, and to insure each person receives an appropriate assessment by intake or referral. Thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other intake related paperwork is a critical component of the job.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Answers telephone within 3 rings using the appropriate greeting and attempts to obtain all pertinent clinical, demographic and insurance information from the caller to determine caller's needs.
* Performs telephonic risk assessment to determine level of suicidality/homicidally with caller in crisis; Utilizes the 911 emergency systems whenever a caller is at serious risk to harm self or others.
* Accurately and thoroughly completes Inquiry Call Sheet (ICS) to include obtained information and outcome of telephonic assessment.
* Schedules assessments, psychiatric evaluations and admissions with potential patient/referral source; Explains the evaluation and admission process to the potential patient/referral source and informs patient of necessary items to bring for hospital stay.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Driver's License

Qualifications
