Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a General Laborer/Utility can vary from day to day depending upon operational needs driven by our customer requirements.
Primary Functions are to support the Operations teams. Duties include, but not limited to the packaging of our products into finished goods (ticketing, banding, wrapping) per customer specification and transporting to various on-site warehouses. And/or delivering baled corrugated raw material to be consumed and recycled in our Paper Manufacturing Process.
40% of time is spent on a hand-controls Bobcat. The balance is for general cleanup and training on higher paying positions.
Bobcat experience is not required but is a plus.
Successful candidates will receive Job Specific Training in addition to the safe use and operation of Powered Industrial Trucks to transport various materials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Essential duties of the Manufacturing/Warehouse General laborer:
Follow direction of the supervisors/operators to prep racks and stack material on them
Keep work area clean - using brooms, dustpans, and shovels
Work at a steady pace to keep up with material flow
Move metal product and/or materials/racks manually as required
Comply with Company policies including but not limited to safety policies
May learn specific press positions to become cross trained
Requirements The Manufacturing/Warehouse General laborer:
Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.
Must be able to work varying shifts and OT as needed (day, afternoon, night shift)
Must be willing to work in other departments as needed.
Must have ability to understand basic instructions.
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Must have basic math skills - be able to read a tape measure.
Must have good attendance - show up for work every day you are scheduled.

Physical requirements:
This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing/heavy equipment environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb and push/pull frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual in this role may work above ground level occasionally. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures/instructions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Assignments for this opening would be through December based on weather. Responsibilities of the Grounds Crew at Mount Vernon Country Club include:
Assists with the implementation of all fertilizer and pesticide programs.
Safely operates the maintenance equipment.
Maintains maintenance and oil/gas logs on equipment.
Cleans and inspects machinery before and after each use.
Reports any mechanical issues to the Superintendent.
Loads and unloads material.
Maintains the course and its surroundings (grass, trees, plants, bushes, waste canisters).
Assists with special projects.
