Mount Vernon Country Club was established in 1915 and is considered on of the premier private clubs in Central Ohio. Members enjoy a state-of-the-art athletic center, two pools, and fine dining in an exclusive environment. The well-appointed clubhouse is a popular event and wedding reception destination for members and their guests. Assignments for this opening would be through December based on weather. Responsibilities of the Grounds Crew at Mount Vernon Country Club include: Assists with the implementation of all fertilizer and pesticide programs. Safely operates the maintenance equipment. Maintains maintenance and oil/gas logs on equipment. Cleans and inspects machinery before and after each use. Reports any mechanical issues to the Superintendent. Loads and unloads material. Maintains the course and its surroundings (grass, trees, plants, bushes, waste canisters). Assists with special projects. Qualifications Required Skills Ability to operate tools and machinery. Attention to detail. Problem-solving skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling. Must be physically able to operate power equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Members of our golf course maintenance team enjoy working in the great outdoors preparing the golf course for play every day. You will learn a variety of fun and challenging tasks throughout the season and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits of being part of our team. We are seeking energetic and fun people to join our rewarding summer experience. Responsibilities Mows golf course to specification by using various types of mowing equipment. Hand rakes sand bunkers. Changes cups on putting greens. Keeps course clean of litter and hazardous obstacles. May be asked to mix/apply pesticides under direct supervision of a licensed applicator. Performs routine maintenance (e.g. clean, repair) on equipment and storage facility. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Able to work early hours beginning at 5:00a.m. - 6:00a.m., seven days a week required. Able to operate motorized equipment required. Knowledge of golf course etiquette and regulations required. Able to perform heavy physical work for extended periods of time required. Able to balance multiple assignments successfully required. Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain) required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior required. Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance required (see uniform guidelines at each time clock and the employee handbook). Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays required. Must have reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time. This position is not eligible for overtime pay. Responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment, furnishings, and buildings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High school and Vocational Technical training in carpentry; electrical, electronics, or plumbing trades with above average performance or equivalent. Experience: One year's full time non-concurrent experience in any two of the following or two years in general maintenance defined as the building trades of plumbing, electrical, electronics, refrigeration or heating. SUPERVISION GIVEN None ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Repairs and services electrical and mechanical equipment. Repairs piping and heating equipment including heat and water systems. Repairs Medical Center equipment. Cleans and services heating and air conditioning equipment. Repairs light fixtures and changes light bulbs. Repairs and maintains Medical Center furniture including beds, tables, stands, chairs, etc. Repairs and services call systems for patient rooms and nurse's stations. Operates Boiler Room when the schedule requires. Assists with the installation or movement of equipment or renovations. Performs tasks such as but not limited to: snow removal; grounds care; painting; cleaning; etc. when necessary. Participates when necessary in the process of equipment/building alterations or renovations. Participates in the call duties for non-regular working hours. Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
