The work responsibilities of the position are: performs routine and diagnostic laboratory testing, assists in medical procedures, performs administrative related functions such as records keeping and inventory, and contributes to the department's objectives. This position reports to Zoo Veterinarian. Minimum Qualifications Must have an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or a closely related field, a current Veterinary Technician License is required, and one (1) year of veterinary technician experience at an animal shelter, veterinary clinic, or other animal care facility. NOTE: Qualifying education, training, and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered. Special Requirements Must be able to work weekends and holidays and special events.
