Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York.
The purpose of the Facilities Services Department is to maintain and extend the useful life of existing facilities and infrastructures, as well as to plan and provide stewardship for new facilities and infrastructure in a manner that forwards the college's mission. The department is also charged with providing numerous support services to the college community. Supports the VCCS mission, goals, and objectives.
The Warehouse Manager leads and supervises the college receiving, mailroom, and warehouse operations by receiving, surplus, delivering, storing, shipping, and inventorying supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
The Test Administrator position is responsible for providing a secure exam delivery and superior customer service in a comfortable friendly environment. In this position, you will be required to:
+ Comply with all testing procedures and strictly adhere to company policies using careful judgment.
+ Check in testing candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
+ Proctor / invigilate candidates while testing.
+ Troubleshoot with internal departments to fix technical issues.
+ Complete light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming the floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate has finished their examination.

Schedule Requirements
Our ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork and is available to work a variety of shifts any day, Monday through Saturday , between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM , including 2-4 Saturdays per month . Availability for morning shifts (7:00 AM-2:00 PM) is required. Sunday shifts would be infrequent, but a possibility if the need arises.
Candidate must be open to flexible scheduling.
This is strictly a part-time position and will remain as such, 5-15 hours per week , with an expectation to work more hours if needed.

Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Minimum of 1 year customer service experience is preferred.

The Student Care and Conduct Coordinator promotes student learning and supports the safety and well-being of the campus community. The Student Care and Conduct Coordinator oversees the overall operations of the student care and conduct process for the college, including investigating behavioral concerns, tracking student care and conduct reports, and coordinating the student conduct appeal process. This role serves as a hearing officer, adjudicates student conduct cases, and co-leads Care Team.

The Center for Military and Veterans Education's (CMVE) Benefits Processing Office (BPO), located at the Virginia Beach campus, will support the CMVE/Veterans Affairs Offices by providing accurate and timely processing of enrollment certifications.
Functional Responsibilities:
* Review incoming ECR forms for certification in accordance with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and State Approving Agency.
* Process/certify enrollment certifications using Enrollment Manaager software. Responsible for all initial certifications for students using the various GI Bill.
* File records of enrollment certifications via ImageNow/Perceptive content.
* Send email communications to students for classes that cannot be certified for benefits explaining why and the next steps the student needs to take to get classes certified.
* Set up/update the Enrollment Certification Request (ECR) gravity form (used by TCC students) each term.
* Set up/update Enrollment Manager for certifications for new terms and new programs.
* Monitor and respond to students through several global email accounts on a daily basis.
* Collaborate with OIS to place mass "holds" that prevent students from being dropped due to non-payment for those using Post 9/11 GI Bill/CH33.
* Process (approve or disapprove) purchase orders from Tungsten. Collaborate with Veterans Readiness and Employment (VR&E) counselors to facilitate certifications for CH31 students. Prevent CH31 students from being dropped due to non-payment.
* Collaborate with CMVE Office staff for VMSDEP processing of benefits.
* Review and adjust DND (do not drop) holds throughout the term.
* Review outstanding CH33 tuition payments each term; provide status of these accounts to the business office throughout the term. Contact Dept. of Veterans Affairs as needed to reconcile accounts.
* Process expired benefits letters to the student, staff and business office for billing.
* Review certifications done by CMVE staff for quality and completeness.
* Assist campus staff with processing drops and withdrawals, graduations, suspensions, last date of attendance and all other mandated reporting requirements.
* Coordinate with CMVE staff for advising issues, i.e. Placement test results, self-placement, pre-admissions programs.
* Assist in training campus staff and work study students in submitting the enrollment certification request forms.
* Review all processes for continuous improvement.

Position Summary:
Tidewater Community College (TCC) is seeking an experienced CBORD Access Systems Specialist to provide expert technical support and guidance for the college's access control infrastructure. The specialist will ensure that all electronic door systems are properly configured and functioning, identify and resolve any operational issues, and develop a long-term plan to maintain and improve access control reliability and security across TCC Campuses. * Assess the current configuration and performance of the college's CBORD access control system.
* Verify that all doors and related components are properly integrated, configured, identified, labeled, and operational.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system and hardware issues affecting door access and security functions.
* Coordinate with Facilities, IT, Installation Contractors and Campus Security teams to ensure alignment on system operations and maintenance.
* Develop documentation and provide recommendations for improving system reliability and performance.

Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York.
The Associate Dean reports to the division dean and provides leadership and oversight for an academic division of instructional programs and courses that support the first two years of baccalaureate education and prepare students to directly enter the workforce. In conjunction with the division dean, the associate dean provides a key leadership role in recruitment, professional development, evaluation, and promotion of full-time and adjunct faculty. In close collaboration with the faculty and other academic administrators, the Associate Dean promotes and ensures quality, integrity, currency, and responsiveness of all instructional activities and promotes the division's vision that advances the College's mission and contributes to achievement of the College's goals and objectives for student success. By supporting the division's innovative partnerships and grant opportunities, the associate dean represents the College in community outreach.
A description of the academic division
The Division for Arts, Business, Humanities and Social Sciences (ABHS) contains a wide variety of academic programs including Associate of Arts degrees, Associate of Science degrees, Associate of Applied Science degrees, Certificates, and Career Studies Certificates that support direct transfer to four-year colleges and universities, as well as direct pathways to careers. The academic disciplines include Accounting, Arts, Business Administration & Management, Communication Studies and Theatre, Education, English, Financial Services, Geography, History, Humanities, Marketing, Music, Philosophy, Photography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and World Languages.

Adjunct faculty member is responsible for teaching courses to which he/she has specific training or competence. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to students to promote and direct student learning in either a classroom, remote via Zoom, or online environment to students with a wide variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Engages students outside of class via office hours and provides thorough, timely, and effective feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

2. 3. This part-time Case Manager/Employment Specialist is responsible for development, management, and leadership guidance for students enrolled into the Job Skills Training Program. The Job Skills Training Program provides holistic life and employment training. Students with multiple barriers for employment, upon successfully completing the program will possess the skills needed to be placed in pre-secured employment offering opportunities for upward mobility.
The Job Skills Training Program Case Manager/Employment Specialist position is on the Norfolk Campus and is required to work/travel to and from all TCC locations to include satellite locations within the local communities. The Case Manager/Employment Specialist reports to the Coordinator of the Job Skills Training Program.
Functional Responsibilities:
Oversee the reviewing and screening of assessment documents used to determine eligibility and suitability for the JSTP programs to include newly established programs. Work directly with local employers and organizations to gather information and expectations of employers and employer partners to use during the screening process. Schedule students to complete the required steps of our screening and assessment process prior to the scheduled class start date. Interview all prospective students interested in attending the program to assist in determining their eligibility and suitability for their chosen career field. Provide holistic and comprehensive case management services to all students assigned to the caseload. This process also includes: intake assessment, benefit assessment for funding into the program, goal setting, long-term case plan development, weekly progress review and implementation of student development plan of action/correction, plan progress monitoring, advocate for financial support, transportation support and childcare support to insure student's ability to attend class as scheduled is maintained at the required level, and refer students to appropriate supporting agency. Specific responsibilities include:
* Achieve consistency and coordination in the delivery of programs and services on all college campuses, to include:
* Introduce our students to the TCC Campus by exposing them to the different activities available throughout the semester
* Maintain currency and accuracy of student files both electronically and paper.
* Assist in updating the development and maintenance of a program database and work with staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency of information entered.
* Represent Workforce Solutions at designated professional meetings, community events, and the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services presentations.
* Perform duties related to and in conjunction with student recruitment and screening.
* Collaborating with the Job Skills Training Program Student Recruitment Specialist to assist in the screening of all prospective JSTP students.

* Oversee processes and procedures for the overall management JSTP students, to include:
* Facilitate classes that promote positive interpersonal skills and collaborate with organizations that support stress reduction and professional counseling and development.
* Serve as an instructional leader by modeling high expectations for students and implementing results focused programs that lead to program completion and graduation.
* Ensure compliances with laws, regulations, rules and policies prescribed by the Tidewater Community College Student Handbook.
* Develop lesson plans and testing materials; leverage the use of technology to enhance instruction.
* Incorporate in-house collegiate and external resources to develop lesson plans; create and administer tests; and provide students with feedback targeting areas of improvement and align their strengths with course objectives and intended outcomes.
* Substitute teach/facilitate a variety of workforce, life skills, and soft-skills classes as needed.
* Serve as the Job Skills Training Program Employment Specialist to prepare students for employment with our employer partners. Carry out the services of the JSTP that support employment of students participating in JSTP. Assist students to obtain and maintain employment that is consistent with their career goals. Participate with and attend the local re-entry council meetings to foster the necessary relationships needed to support students entering into the program.
* Engage students and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community.
* Conduct follow-up activities and tracking of all graduated students to ensure continual employment is maintained.
* Conduct job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the students on caseload.

* Conduct weekly employer contacts. * Work collaboratively with staff, ensuring that student needs for accurate programmatic information, appropriate learning assistance and other services are met.

Record keeping is critical and there is very little room for error. Accuracy and attention to detail is require on all reporting and record keeping.
* Demonstrated ability to create strategies that support career planning and work life balance, family planning and relationship development. Additionally, demonstrate the ability to identify the problem, determine corrective actions and ways to fulfill that obligation and lastly evaluate the successful accomplishment of the plan.
* Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of PC-based software including advanced features of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, CANVAS, ZOOM, and other educational platforms. Ability to infuse the use of the latest technology to conduct research and prepare reports and plans in a timely manner. Demonstrate the ability to meet daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines.

Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant provides frontline, administrative, and clerical support to childcare operations at the assigned Child Development Center campus and primarily the site Program Director. Also performs administrative support functions and duties College-wide for the Director of Child Development Centers. This position has been designated an essential position. The employee filling this position may be required to report to work or otherwise fulfill the responsibilities of the position in the event of a college/campus closure due to weather or other emergent conditions(s).
Functional Responsibilities:
* Provides front desk coverage, logs children in and out of the facility, and informs and answers questions regarding programs and services, patron financial obligations, attendance, waiting lists, events, and policies and procedures.
* Ensures child registration and enrollment paperwork is complete and current.
* Takes telephone calls and responds to inquiries, referring calls to supervisor or other personnel when appropriate.
* Ensures that all USDA food program records are accurate, up-to-date and readily available.
* Prepares necessary daily, weekly and monthly reports in compliance with reporting policies and procedures and ensures they are submitted in a timely manner.
* Charges and records payments in accordance with proper procedures. Notifies supervisor of all delinquent payments.
* Responsible for monitoring all supplies and resources. Notifies supervisor of items that need to be ordered.
* Interact professionally with employees, parents, and local community members.
* Maintain confidential filing system and records on site and electronically.
* Interacts with children using approved child guidance and age-appropriate techniques.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the non-credit, open enrollment Nurse Aide program and new nursing pathway program initiatives. This position is responsible for establishing, developing, and managing the day-to-day program and for ensuring the program complies with the Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) accreditation standards. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Curriculum
* Leads the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of the nurse aide curriculum, in collaboration with faculty and the Office of Workforce Solutions, to meet certification compliance that is consistent with college policies, Virginia Board of Nursing requirements, and employment standards.
* Provide oversight for Workforce Solutions Nurse Aide pathway as related to developing, organizing, managing, scheduling, student support, classroom supplies and materials, assessment, etc.
* In collaboration with faculty and the Office of Workforce Solutions, oversee the evaluation of Workforce Nursing pathway courses for currency, relevancy, and effectiveness. Prepare documentation for curriculum reports and changes.
* Academic Standards and Assessment
* In collaboration with the Office of Workforce Solutions, communicate standards, goals, and definitions of learning outcomes and teaching requirements for the programs to ensure consistent delivery of quality instruction.
* Work with faculty, Office of Workforce Solutions, and other appropriate stakeholders in the development and implementation of effective methods and tools for measuring learning outcomes and student success.
* Instructional Personnel, Supervision, and Development
* In coordination with the AVP of Workforce Solutions, manage the Workforce Solutions nursing division recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate instructional staff and additional support personnel, ensuring all instructors meet required experience and licensure criteria. Including monitoring instructor performance and conducting classroom observations.
* In collaboration with the AVP of Workforce Solutions, coordinate, execute, and encourage participation of Workforce Nurse Aid instructors in meaningful and engaging seminars, lectures, workshops, training, and other relevant opportunities.
* Workforce Support
* Ensure that appropriate support services are in place and are consistently and effectively applied. Coordinate support in areas such as testing preparation, writing labs, math labs, tutoring, etc.
* Collaborate with Workforce student services personnel to ensure students are appropriately advised.
* Review, research, respond, and resolve student concerns within the scope and purview of the position and refer student concerns to the appropriate offices throughout the college.
* Operational Oversight
* In collaboration with the college and Workforce's fiscal department, assist in the procurement of materials and supplies needed for efficient operations.
* Ensure all courses meet applicable standards and requirements of the Virginia Board of Nursing, VCCS, and Tidewater Community College. Act as the primary liaison to state agencies (i.e., Board of Nursing, Department of Health) to ensure all program activities, curriculum, and documentation align with state and federal regulations. Including preparing required reports and coordinating for site visits or audits.
* Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness and enrollment among current and potential students and coordinate efforts with the Workforce marketing department and web services to include collaboration on development of marketing materials.
* Develop, implement, evaluate program requirements, and maintain all program records in accordance with TCC and the Virginia Board of Nursing.
* Compile and deliver written reports, oral briefs, and make presentations.
* Coordinate with TCC, Dean of the Beazly School of Nursing, to ensure appropriate program crosswalks following all procedures/policies.
* Budget Development and Oversight
* Collaborating with the AVP of Workforce Solutions and the college and Workforce fiscal department to analyze the resources needed to fulfill the academic obligations, including the development of cost-benefit analyses and forecasts of Workforce program demand in the nursing career pathway.
* Monitor expenditures, assess fiscal trends, and work with the AVP of Workforce Solutions to take action to assure budget integrity.
* Community Relationships, Clinical Site Management, and Partnerships
* In coordination with the AVP of Workforce Solutions establish and build relationships with employers, community agencies, educational institutions (e.g., K12, colleges and universities), program accrediting bodies, municipalities, and governmental and military organizations to foster partnerships, job placements, to review and improve curricula, to create opportunities for experiential learning (such as internships, externships, clinical site placements, and apprenticeships), and to establish contract training opportunities. Coordinate these efforts with appropriate areas of the college, such as Academic Affairs (Nursing pathway), and the Center for Military and Veterans Education.
* Development and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare facilities for clinical placements, manage student placement logistics, and ensure students and faculty adhere to all health and safety requirements of clinical sites. In coordination with the AVP of Workforce Solutions, negotiate agreements with clinical sites as needed.
* Establish and maintain contact with employers in the healthcare sector to identify industry training needs and training opportunities; identify TCC resources to meet these needs and develop appropriate training proposals.

The adjunct faculty member is responsible for teaching courses to which he/she has specific training or competence. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to students to promote and direct student learning in either a classroom, remote via Zoom, or online environment to students with a wide variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Engages students outside of class via office hours and provides thorough, timely, and effective feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes.
The Biology Adjunct Recruitment ideal candidate will be able to teach on each campus as needed (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth).
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for creating a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in a discipline and/or program.
2. Aligns course activities with student learning outcomes for the course; employ a variety of active learning strategies to foster student engagement; employ appropriate technology and supporting materials that support course and/or program learning outcomes; and provide students with prompt and meaningful feedback on course activities and assignments, communicating with students in a timely and respectful manner.
3. Deliver instruction in support of stated learning outcomes; adhere to college policies and procedures for participation in student surveys of instruction; conduct meaningful and timely assessments of student learning, including at least one assessment within the first 15% of class; and analyze the previous semester's evaluation of instruction and develop and implement appropriate action plans as necessary.
4. Responsibilities may include work during the day, evening and/or weekend as determined by the course(s) assigned.
5. Hold at least 1 office hour per week for each course assigned.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

Position Summary:
Assist with the daily administrative operations of the Facilities Department on the Norfolk Campus. Provides clerical, technical, and administrative and project support in all phases of the Facilities Department. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and smooth operations for their assigned supervisor and their department. Duties require independent judgment with an understanding of Facilities Department functions, procedures and terminology.
Functional Responsibilities:
* Enter and monitor purchase orders, term contracts, and perform other basic accounting tasks ensuring accuracy and meeting all established deadlines following SSC rules and regulations.
* Prepare proof and edit documents, correspondence, spreadsheets and reports as directed ensuring accuracy and meeting all established deadlines.
* Regularly processes invoices for the Facilities Department including creating purchase orders, following them to completion and submission to Fiscal Services for payment. Process invoices in a timely manner on goods/services received and complete to expedite payment in accordance with Virginia Prompt Payment Act.
* Maintain files on all purchase orders and state contracts.
* Process purchase orders into the state ordering system. EVA orders will be processed in a timely, accurately following all SSC/VCCS regulations.
* Able to enter EVA requests into School Dude, create work orders, and close work orders.
* Answers and direct phone calls, take messages, and field/answer all routine and non-routine questions.
* Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies, securing and maintaining office equipment, establish and maintaining a filing system, sorting and distribution of mail, creating and maintaining an accurate calendar.
* Maintain an accurate 1500 hour spreadsheet for assigned employees per campus level.
* Oversee the purchase of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, foul weather gear, and uniforms.
* Check E-mail daily and respond promptly to avoid delays.
* Prepare travel arrangements and employee memberships as required.
* May occasionally be required to utilize personal vehicle for College business.

Position Summary:
To provide greater efficiency and effectiveness in the general operations of the TCC Real Estate Foundation and Finance. To process gifts of property to the college and manage properties to provide the highest and best possible return for the college. To support TCC programs and students through the renovation of existing facilities and construction of new facilities.
