Duties:
Review customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products, and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing lines.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repair orders.
Complete material transactions in SAP, creating non-conformance reports in IQMS, and closing tasks in MFG based Cell Fusion application as the task requires.
Perform and report cycle counts.
Oversee crating and audit of outbound material.
Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight as needed.
Arrange for nonstandard crating, rigging, and trucking work through proper channels.
Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
Safety Protocol:
Complete all required safety training.
Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
Adhere to personal and product safety guidelines by:
Utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures
Following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
Utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tools) to aid in the assembly of tools
Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct, and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments.
Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to the next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse).

Prepares documents and shipping orders. Packs, seals, and labels materials for shipping using most cost effective method of shipping via US Mail, UPS, Fed Ex or other carriers.
Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record-keeping purposes.
Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Confers and corresponds with required representative to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications.
Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
Receives all material and compare to packing list. Examines and inspects received items for breakage, reporting any damage to purchasing agent. Marks, packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse according to corporate standards.
Layout and builds control panels according to designs provided by engineering. Wires panels according to designs and appropriate regulatory standards in a neat and workmanlike manner.
Marks all project shelves with job number, job name and PM assigned to the project. The area where material is placed needs to be clearly marked so that it is not accidentally removed for another project.
Any material that is transferred to or from any stock location must be properly documented within the accounting system, and/or a packing list prepared for shipment to the customer.

Checks identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, orders or other records
Prepares necessary paperwork, tagging product, prepare bill of lading, bill of material check off
Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled daily from various documents; Inventories materials and prepares inventory cycle count reports for local inventory specialist and other departments as requested
Attaches identifying tags or shipping labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers
Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or load plans to determine items to be gather or consolidated. May follow oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved. Unloads and places in proper storage areas.
Modifies product as needed which may include glazing, cut down, spring customization, modify track, building hardware boxes and/or cables.
Inspects material handling environment equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility
Receives returned good and damaged products and returns product to stock and processes paperwork
Fills orders and assembles material and items with minimal mistakes
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together; may also assemble various materials (wood, cardboard, or similar) for packaging to protect product as needed
Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklift and other equipment as needed under limited conditions
Follows all safety policies and guidelines as required including OSHA
Understands quality guidelines and expectations
Communicates well with customers, department supervisors, truck drivers, office personnel and other employees
Keep area clean and neat
Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area
Assists in the preparation of special order doors for shipment
Uses knowledge of all location of products to work efficiently
Prepares parcels for shipment on various shipping vendors (UPS, Fedex, etc)
May be required to use barcode scanners and have some system capabilities to be able to enter, retrieve, and send data to the respective system
