General duties include: unloading of merchandise trucks, received DC merchandise inventory control, and preparing all merchandise for display. Responsibilities * Provides control of Store and Customer merchandise. * Secures and maintains the company issued tools. * Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies management concerning repairs. * Cleans, checks, and inspects all merchandise before taking it to the showroom or releasing it for customer P/U for OUTLET Stores or when applicable. * Handles all Inventory Control and Customer Load Outs for OUTLET Stores (or anywhere when applicable) * Assists in maintaining store security and safety. * Learns and complies with the company's loss prevention program by working in a safe manner; identifies and reports, and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury. * Assists with customer P/U (where applicable) and unloads DC merchandise. The Machine Operator is responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of ductile or steel pipe. Machine operator will be required to use all types of manual machine tools such as lathes and threaders. The machine operator will operate machines and crane to move pipe in and out of machining centers. Scope of Responsibilities 1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members. Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Wears appropriate PPE which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection. Responsible for cleanliness of the assigned work area as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Proactively promotes the McWane Way principles. Follow all processes and procedures associated with the MPI Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program. Identify fabrication requirements for each piece of pipe Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper. After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe. For Threaders - Remove pipe from machine and move to next processing operation. For Lathes - run the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe Operator will work with pipe and flanges primarily from 3” to 6” in diameter, and lengths from 4 inches to 18 feet long. Operator will be proficient with quality and able to meet prescribed production output objectives for the work center. Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer Ability to understand machinery processes Team player, willingness to work when needed, help and volunteer across a variety of different machines Positive, enthusiastic, and helpful Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Forklift operators are required to fill out a damage sheet each shift to account for any damage that occurs in their aisles during the shift, and turn it in to supervision at shift end.

As a Slitter/Rewind Operator, you operate machinery used in the finishing processes for flexographic printing in the manufacturing of custom labels and decals. SUMMARY: The Slitter-Rewind Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a slitter/rewinder. Production requirements include producing products that meet our quality standards using inspection systems and or quality processes. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain quality production, inspection, and packaging of products produced. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operate Slitter/rewind and inspection/finishing equipment safely and efficiently producing quality product. 2. Inspection of products produced to job specifications and quality standards. 3. Receives production order and job assignments from the supervisor/Lead. 4. Obtains required materials for job. 5. Completes production records as required by company guidelines. 6. Ensures proper cleanliness of work area. 7. Able to read, review and understand job tickets and proofs. 8. Project positive and professional behavior/attitude. 9. Responsive - timely & appropriately to all company personnel. 10. Project positive and professional behavior/attitude. 11.     O'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a (3rd Shift) Machine Operator for the Kasto Saw at our Birmingham facility. The Machine operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. What you will be doing: Following all safety guidelines and wearing all necessary protective gear. Set up and operate a variety of processing equipment; fiber laser, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, etc. Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc. Reading, interpreting, and following work instructions and blueprints, specifically 3D prints. Use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer. Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract fractions and decimals. Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position. Shift: Must be able to work 3rd Shift (8:00PM - 4:00 AM) Sunday - Thursday.
