Responsible to perform a variety of specific duties, both within the store and assigned store locations, under the supervision of the Store Manager. General duties include: unloading of merchandise trucks, received DC merchandise inventory control, and preparing all merchandise for display. Maintains cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times. Performs furniture touch ups and repairs. Ensures timely execution of moving merchandise to the sales floor. Insures inside and outside of building as well as surrounding grounds up keep and cleanliness. Maintains close communication with store managers to insure customer service consistent with W.S. Responsibilities
* Provides control of Store and Customer merchandise.

* Cleans, checks, and inspects all merchandise before taking it to the showroom or releasing it for customer P/U for OUTLET Stores or when applicable.

* Assists in maintaining store security and safety.
* Learns and complies with the company's loss prevention program by working in a safe manner; identifies and reports, and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury.
* Assists with customer P/U (where applicable) and unloads DC merchandise. Un-boxes merchandise. Sets up, displays, cleans, touches-up, repairs, refurbishes, tests/checks returned products,
* Uses a dolly to safely move merchandise; maintains vehicle security
* Cleans and maintains showroom, office areas, rest rooms, front and back of the store, windows, light fixtures, walls, floor, carpet, dumpster area and furniture.
* Any project assigned by Store Management through overview of the Regional Director.
Qualifications
* High school diploma / GED.
* Six months retail customer service, staff supervision, and delivery experience.
* Ability to read maps, shipping / packing documents and assembly instructions.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective time management skills.
* Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
* Mechanical ability to service and maintain upholstery and case goods.

Description
McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) is seeking an experience Machine Operator to join our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation. The Machine Operator is responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of ductile or steel pipe. Machine operator will be required to use all types of manual machine tools such as lathes and threaders. The machine operator will operate machines and crane to move pipe in and out of machining centers.
Scope of Responsibilities
1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members.
Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Wears appropriate PPE which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection.
Responsible for cleanliness of the assigned work area as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Proactively promotes the McWane Way principles.
Follow all processes and procedures associated with the MPI Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
Identify fabrication requirements for each piece of pipe
Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper.
After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly.
Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe.
For Threaders - Remove pipe from machine and move to next processing operation.
For Lathes - run the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe
Operator will work with pipe and flanges primarily from 3” to 6” in diameter, and lengths from 4 inches to 18 feet long.
Operator will be proficient with quality and able to meet prescribed production output objectives for the work center.
Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is required to communicate both verbally and written in English.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to meet and adhere physical requirements as well as adhere to wearing the appropriate PPE (steel toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection)
Must be able to work in dust and fumes.
Will be required to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus and determine and distinguish color.
Must have the ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.

Forklift replenishments are performed by the forklift operator by filling empty or near empty picking locations in the warehouse to keep product in stock for availability for selection. A drop or replenishment sheet is used by the forklift operator in directing him/her on which pallet is to be replenished first.
The forklift operator should get the drop or replenishment sheets from the warehouse/shipping office before making any replenishment.
All pallets put in to a picking location should have all wrap removed by the forklift operator when it is replenished.
Forklift operators are required to fill out a damage sheet each shift to account for any damage that occurs in their aisles during the shift, and turn it in to supervision at shift end.

Warehouse machine operator job in Birmingham, AL
O'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a (3rd Shift) Machine Operator for the Kasto Saw at our Birmingham facility.
The Machine operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
What you will be doing:
Following all safety guidelines and wearing all necessary protective gear.
Set up and operate a variety of processing equipment; fiber laser, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, etc.
Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
Reading, interpreting, and following work instructions and blueprints, specifically 3D prints.
Use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract fractions and decimals.
Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
Shift: Must be able to work 3rd Shift (8:00PM - 4:00 AM) Sunday - Thursday. Overtime will be required as needed.
