JOB SUMMARY: The person in this role is responsible for blending, loading, and unloading chemical products while assuring compliance is achieved in all company associated policies. The Blender/Loader is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and ability to follow procedures. Apply all plant safety rules, work guidelines / practices, and procedures Wearing and maintenance of personal protective equipment required for working with hazardous chemicals Developing and applying improvements in processes, equipment and procedures Daily Responsibilities: Complete walk-thru of the process and equipment to audit safety and maintain operational records Assist with cleaning, and reloading of chemical reactors for production runs Work with Production manager to coordinate manufacture of finished goods and ensure final products meet specifications within shipping schedule Blend and mix chemicals per batch sheet instructions to meet customer requirements, fill sample retain bottles, and complete quality documentation Load drums and/or totes with finished goods and properly label & seal containers Assist in shipping by coordinating the loading of bulk tankers and LTL trailers while completing all necessary paperwork and recordkeeping. Assist in receipt of raw materials to the site including offloading and completing all necessary paperwork and recordkeeping. Maintenance Maintain a 5S mentality (Sort, Straighten, Sustain, Shine, Systemize) This is a USALCO philosophy to maintain a clean and orderly plant and includes inspecting your area and returning any and all tools, equipment, hoses, etc. to its proper place and maintain a clean work environment Inspect plant equipment daily and report any issues to the supervisor Assist in routine maintenance activities, including but not limited to: pipe and valve installation, pump replacement, etc. Willing to work overtime, provide physical labor and occasional weekend work as required to meet business requirements.
