Purpose and Position Summary:
The Equity and Justice Sr. Program Coordinator is part of the Equity and Justice Team at the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) and sits within the Office of Executive Director department.
The primary purpose of the Equity and Justice Sr. Program Coordinator is to provide administrative and programmatic support to the Equity and Justice Team.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Entity Administrative Support:
Under the direction of the Equity and Justice Manager and in partnership with other team members, this position provides varying levels of support which includes:
Drafting, finalizing, posting and archiving meeting minutes, preparing and distributing meeting materials to entities and posting on relevant websites
Coordinating meeting scheduling including identifying and confirming meeting times via calendar polls, reserving zoom rooms or securing in-person meeting space (and booking catering and room set-up if needed)
Tracking meeting attendance including sending out calendar invitations and tracking attendance and quorum at the meetings
Supporting volunteers with their access to SharePoint sites and other technology tools
Process volunteer expense reimbursements and invoices for entity-related activities and events
Send out communications to promote the entity and recruit potential new members
Support the selection and appointment of new members by preparing application materials, tracking decision- making, drafting communications to applicants, and preparing appointment documentation.
Support the data collection and research for annual reports as needed
Provide any other entity-related administrative support to the Equity and Justice Team member who serves as the primary staff liaison
Provide event support to entities who are planning events (see Event Support section for details)
Event Administrative Support:
Assist Equity and Justice Team members with all aspects of event planning and execution which may include researching and securing venues which includes facilitating the execution of contracts and payments, working with WSBA staff for onsite events and external vendors for off-site events to coordinate room set-up, A/V and hybrid needs, catering, furniture and linen rentals, preparing event materials and supplies such as name tags, panel discussion table tents, programs, directional signage and sign-in sheets and providing day-of support.
Assist Equity and Justice Team members with planning and executing events so they are accessible to all attendees, which includes serving as the point person for accommodation and accessibility requests and researching and delivering ways to proactively make the event accessible (e.g., considering language access and access for people with disabilities).
Assist Equity and Justice Team members with event marketing and outreach by facilitating collaboration with communication and outreach department for event promotion.
Provide support to attendees who have questions about the upcoming events and/or need accommodations.
Prepare event materials such as nametags, sign-in sheets, brochures, programs, etc.
Coordinate day-of event details and post-event needs such as evaluations and follow-up communications.
Equity and Justice Operations and Administrative Support:
Managing database and member information in assigned list serves.
Processing reimbursements, invoices and payments through WSBA's expense system.
Facilitate the contract approval process using the Contract Management System.
Assist with the creation and administration of team-wide tools and procedures under the direction of the Equity and Justice Manager
Fielding phone calls, monitoring program email inboxes (e.g., Equity and Justice, Access to Justice, Pro Bono) and responding to or referring inquiries to appropriate parties
Maintain and update the Equity and Justice Team's Blink pages
Provide administrative support to the Chief Equity and Justice Officer, such as calendaring, meeting preparation, and supporting organization and external communications, as needed.
Program Administrative Support and Communications:
Duties may include:
Support the Equity and Justice Team with assigned program administrative assistance which may include researching and ordering supplies, marketing and outreach for volunteers and partners, data collection and tabulation, and researching vendors.
Implement website updates for programs (ex, Pro Bono and Public Service Committee, Access to Justice Board, Alliance for Equal Justice, Council on Public Defense, etc.) and other team webpages as assigned.
Support the Equity and Justice Programs Lead by administering the annual pro bono recognition activities which include collecting data on WSBA members' pro bono reporting, creating and sending the pro bono certificates, posting the Supreme Court Honor Roll and working with the Bar News staff to include recognition in communication channels.
Administer the Qualified Legal Services Provider application review and communicate decision upon the Chief Equity and Justice Officer's review
Authenticate WSBA member requests for authentication for public service CLE access
Other Duties as Assigned.
Assist with Equity and Justice Team-wide event and projects as needed
Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Education Preferred:
College degree (e.g., Associate, Bachelors)
Experience Required:
A minimum of two years of experience in a mission-driven, organizational environment including experience working with volunteer boards and committees, and legal professionals.
Event planning experience.
Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with the Washington State equity and justice community.

A high degree of proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and 365 programs and applications within Windows (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.), along with a strong technical aptitude to quickly learn others (including WSBA's existing systems).

Demonstrated commitment to equity and justice through previous and/or current experience in jobs, volunteer roles, and educational endeavors
General knowledge about access to justice issues in Washington state and the importance of working collaboratively with the larger equity and justice community.

Working Conditions:
This position, while primarily remote within Washington, must be flexible to work in office (Seattle, WA) and travel within WA state as deemed necessary, or as required. This position primarily performs work during normal business hours, however, must have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, etc., if travel within WA is required. For remote work, you must have an adequate home/work environment and internet access, for performing work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature.

As an arm of the Washington State Supreme Court, we administer the Bar Exam and other regulatory, compliance, and membership services for licensed legal professionals in Washington State.
Description
We are seeking interested and qualified individuals to proctor the upcoming Washington State Bar Exam.
The Bar Exam takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 24-25, 2026.
The Bar Exam will be in person and at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, in Tacoma, WA.
There is also a brief mandatory orientation / training in person on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
The Bar Exam is two full days. Proctors are expected to arrive at 6:30 a.m., February 24 and at 7:00 a.m. on February 25, 2026, and remain until approximately 4:15 p.m.
Interested candidates must:
Be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate
Communicate effectively and courteously
Be proficient in the English language
Follow directions accurately
Work with people under stressful conditions in a calm, courteous, and professional manner
Stand for long periods of time and lift up to 15 pounds with assistance and/or equipment
Move up and down aisles while collecting papers and viewing computer screens
Work for more than 8 hours a day, for 2 consecutive days or more
Have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from the event location
Satisfactorily complete a WSBA New Hire Background Check
Provide current and valid identification at hire (WSBA is a USCIS employer and all staff must be eligible and approved to work in the US).
Proctors will be paid a minimum of $426.00 for attending an orientation and proctoring two full exam days.

Purpose and Position Summary:
Disciplinary Counsel exercise authority delegated by the Washington Supreme Court to act as counsel on all matters under the Washington Supreme Court's Rules for Enforcement of Lawyer Conduct (ELC).
Disciplinary Counsel are responsible for the efficient and effective conduct of investigations, prosecutions, and appeals related to lawyer misconduct or incapacity.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigates Disciplinary Matters:
Investigates and analyzes grievances alleging ethical misconduct by lawyers in accordance with the ELC and Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) procedure.
Promptly and accurately determines the best means to protect the public from harmful and unprofessional conduct by lawyers, and protect respondent lawyers from unfounded allegations, all in service of maintaining the integrity of the profession.
May require lawyers to provide written responses, records, files and accounts, appear for interviews or depositions, and seek suspension of lawyers who fail to cooperate with investigations.
Directs the work of investigators, paralegals, administrative assistants, and auditors who have been assigned to assist their investigations, and are responsible for ensuring that the conduct of these persons is compatible with Disciplinary Counsel's professional obligations under the Supreme Court's Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) and the ELC, including the obligation of strict confidentiality.
Upon completion of an investigation, applies the law to the facts, assesses the proper resolution of the matters - whether to dismiss, defer, divert, or seek public discipline against the lawyer - and then drafts letters and memoranda that detail the results of their investigations.
Tries Disciplinary Cases:
Conducts trial-like hearings of public disciplinary cases.
Drafts pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and responses to papers filed by respondent lawyers.
Decides what evidence to present during disciplinary hearings, determines how to admit evidence, conducts legal research, and prepares witnesses.
Decides what evidentiary objections or stipulations are appropriate to make, presents opening statements and closing arguments, and must be able to effectively examine and cross-examine witnesses.
Represents ODC in conducting settlement conferences as ordered by a hearing officer.
Briefs and argues discipline and disability cases in appeals to the Disciplinary Board and Supreme Court, and organizes facts and ODC's arguments in a clear, cogent manner.
Responds to questions from the Board and the Court during oral arguments.
Prepares interim suspension petitions to the Washington Supreme Court if a lawyer fails to cooperate during the investigation, receives a felony conviction, declares a disability, presents an immediate threat to the public, or after the Disciplinary Board recommends disbarment.
Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of each case to make sanction recommendations.
Negotiates and draft proposed stipulations to discipline, disability inactive status, and resignations in lieu of discipline.
Performs other duties as assigned:
Performs other duties as assigned, which include consulting with members about the conduct of other members, presenting CLEs, coordinating with Adjunct Trial Counsel, Adjunct Investigative Counsel, or Special Disciplinary Counsel, and providing staff support or liaison to groups, committees, and special task forces within and outside of ODC.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor or Law Clerk Program Completion.
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years practicing law, including litigation experience; active Washington license to practice law.
Experience Preferred:
7 or more years practicing law with experience in both criminal and civil areas and/or appeals is preferred.
