POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regular attendance at assigned location; may include the A/Z fabrication facility or other project sites;
Works on systems that include Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Process Fluids, Chemical, Fuel Oil, Gasses, and other related systems;
Works with materials that include carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, fiberglass, copper, (brazed, soft soldered and pro-press);
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
Weld pipe and components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using open root butt weld, socket weld and/or fillet weld.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High School or GED Diploma required; Welding Certification or Technical Degree preferred.
1-3 years of welding experience
Experience working with stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum materials.
Ability to use and read precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain professionalism at all times.
Self-motivated and adapts well to ongoing change.
Ability to maintain a safe work environment.

About the Role We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will weld manufactured parts and sub-assemblies using various welding methods as appropriate to the materials used. You will be responsible for locating and welding parts using TIG and MIG welding equipment to meet blueprint specifications. Duties and Responsibilities
* Use jigs, fixtures, and assembly blueprints to prepare for welding.
* Locate positions and weld parts using TIG and MIG welding equipment as specified in blueprints.
* Adjust welding equipment to the desired amperage and wire feed.
* Troubleshoot as needed to resolve issues and ensure efficient production.
* Proficiently use a variety of hand tools, including but not limited to TIG welding tools, MIG welding tools, spot welding tools, a stud gun, hand grinder, and drill.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Assist other departments as directed.
Qualifications and Essential Functions
* Able to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and travelers.
* Adept at using small hand and power tools.
* Knowledge of shop measurement techniques.
* Good paperwork and counting skills.
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as bending, sitting, and standing repeatedly.
* Able to work and interact in a "Team" oriented department.
