The TIG Welder at our Baldwin, WI location is responsible for set up and welding of product. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.
Role Responsibilities:
Performs set up and all position welding on a diversified line of standard and non-standard product according to print specifications. Materials may include steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Fit and position product weldments having several parts, using welding and welding fixtures and jigs where applicable.
Work from prints and routings.
Statistical process control (SPC) data collection and use of graphs (TIG welding).
Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Review engineering prints of all parts to be welded.
+ Layout work on stations connecting components per the engineering prints. Parts are spaced and tacked together. Parts are removed for welding butt joints and socket joints by Welder II/III on the weld tables.
+ Checks the parts for quality and usability.
+ Write a requisition slip when materials are requested from stock.
+ Performs various welds as required using the established ANGI weld procedures for pipe welding.
+ Mark the weldment for identification and staged for the next operation.
+ Return unused materials to the rack. Scrap materials and unusable off falls are placed in the proper dumpster. Any material adjustments are made.
+ Maintain the welder and other related equipment in good working order.
+ Maintain a neat, clean, orderly and safe working environment at all times.
+ Additional duties as assigned.

INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities) This position primarily responsible for prepping, cutting, fitting and tacking piping runs on compressor stations. Operators follow engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Review engineering prints of all parts to be welded.
* Layout work on stations connecting components per the engineering prints. Parts are spaced and tacked together. Parts are removed for welding butt joints and socket joints by Welder II/III on the weld tables.
* Checks the parts for quality and usability.
* Write a requisition slip when materials are requested from stock.
* Performs various welds as required using the established ANGI weld procedures for pipe welding.
* Mark the weldment for identification and staged for the next operation.
* Return unused materials to the rack. Scrap materials and unusable off falls are placed in the proper dumpster. Any material adjustments are made.
* Maintain the welder and other related equipment in good working order.
* Maintain a neat, clean, orderly and safe working environment at all times.
* Additional duties as assigned.

* Works proficiently and accurately to control costs while maintaining high quality standards.
* On-time shipping performance.

Job Summary
Welders are responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing stainless steel and/or aluminum metal structures and equipment. Welders should be able to read blueprints and schematics in addition to being able to set up parts of the welding process including grinding, welding, and drilling
