Monarch Fence LLC is looking for a reliable Welder/Yard Hand (Contractor) to join our team. This is a long-term, steady role that is hands-on and will work closely with the Yard Manager to support day-to-day operations in the workshop and yard.
Responsibilities:
Assist Yard Manager with workshop tasks and daily operations
Perform welding duties as needed at the workshop
Pick up and deliver materials for projects when required
Load and unload materials for crews
Organize materials in the yard and keep work areas orderly
Check equipment in and out to crews, ensuring accurate logging of all tools and materials
Assist with servicing tools and equipment when needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard/workshop
Take initiative and work independently when required

Read and interpret technical weldment drawing
Participate in rapid prototyping to support proof-of-concept and early-stage product development.

Install mechanical hardware such as bolts, fittings, valves, instrumentation, and support brackets.

Qualifications

Welding Certifications including but not limited to: AWS D1.1, 6G Pipe Welding Certification, AWS D17.1, API 1104, AWS D1.6
Experience welding to high-pressure, high-temperature code or near-code requirements.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly and technician experience

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Welding Apprentice who will Perform welding tasks under supervision on piping and plate within petroleum operations facilities. In addition to welding, the successful candidate must be able to assist in tasks related to welding such as fit‐up, preparation, repair, inspection, and post weld preparation. As required, the Apprentice Welder will also be tasked to assist with general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean‐up and preparation, mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, scaffolding erection, general tank construction tasks and other duties as assigned.
This role is intended for May 2026 college graduates who majored in an applicable field. Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 year average) = 20% of eligible earnings
Compensation for this position has been averaging $25-$37/hour on our bonus structure.
Basic Job Functions:
American Buildings -Illinois located in El Paso, IL is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Structural Fabricator.
Basic functions of the position include, but not limited to:
Perform various fit up, tacking, and welding operations on a variety of structural assemblies.
Weld and follow all weld standards and procedures.
Add stiffeners, brackets, face plates, etc. using prints for location prior to finish welding.
Use clamps, jigs, tape, square, arc air gouger, cutting torch and plasma as required using procedures, best practices and good judgment to prevent warping and misalignment of component parts.
Operate overhead cranes.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Inspect, detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper leadership.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
Perform other related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass AWS welding and Canadian certification.
Ability to read tape measure, square, and blueprint readings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Can read and understand weld symbols
Can use an arc gouger
Previous crane certification
Previous experience in material handling
Minimum of 1 year prior experience in similar position.
Welding back ground; operational understanding and knowledge of standard welding practices and procedures.
Trained and confident in overhead crane use.
