Essential Duties & Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions in preparation for welding or cutting metal components. Lay out, position, align, and fit components together in accordance with Engineering provided drawings or schematics. Understanding of pre-, post-heat and stress relieve techniques and requirements. Use oxyfuel burn, plasma burn, grind and/or air arc metal as required. Perform welding in accordance with approved welding procedures. Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. Set up equipment and weld parts, using SMAW & FCAW. Assemble parts by bolting and riveting. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Handle both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
