The Kid Zone Worker is responsible for the care of children, (infant, toddler, preschool, school-age), in the Y Kid Zone room. The Kid Zone room is designed to be a space where kids experience interactive play, create relationships, and explore new things while parents/guardians are in the Y facility.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Design and engage children in age and developmental appropriate activities that promote the YMCA mission.
Support the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by reporting any health or safety hazards to staff, members, and guests, follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to monitoring and supervision of children, report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to supervisor.
Ensure the proper ratios are maintained.
Organize and set up needed materials and equipment.
Clean and sanitize toys and play equipment.
Maintain daily open communication with members, participants, and staff.
Report any risk management issues and complete any incident reports to the Director of Mission Advancement as soon as possible.
Support the YMCA's mission and operations as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training working with children.
Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification required. Must maintain current on these certifications. Complete all child abuse training within first 30 days of hire.
Must demonstrate good judgment and creativity as well as enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility, and maturity.

Develop safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals
Monitor and instruct clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of strength training equipment, cardiovascular and flexibility.
Educate members on current health and fitness issues and trends
Conduct fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs
Deliver personal training programs based on the client's ability and goals
Complete and maintain accurate and current client files
Fulfill member service requirement, up to 30 hours per week duties may include the following:
Fitness assessments
Floor service, to include member service calls
Educating members and clients in supplements and offer proper solution to attain fitness goals
Sales & Promotion:
Promote and sell Edge Fitness programs, services, and products, to include:
Edge Strong Classes
Edge Evolve
ES Fit Supplements
Financial:
Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly revenue and session goals
Develop and maintain a personal training client base
Managerial & Supervisory:
Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan
