    General Purpose: The Centralized Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of PrairieLand Partners (PLP) vehicles to transport equipment for PrairieLand Partners (PLP). The Centralized Truck Driver reports to the Transportation Manager. Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maintains detailed transportation records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts for loads. Maintains all required certifications in line with Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and PLP policies. Collects and reports on monthly documents for on-site PLP vehicles and trailers. Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties. Maintains assigned trucks and related equipment in good operating condition. Performs daily and annual DOT inspections on PLP vehicles and trailers for the location. Assists in keeping the location facilities organized and professional looking. Assists technicians as needed with repairs, pre-delivery set-up, washing equipment, etc. Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization. Ability to always represent PLP professionally and to meet or exceed customer expectations. Knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads. Ability to perform minor roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs. Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required. Experience: One year of experience as a Class A Motor Vehicle Operator is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: Must have reliable transportation. Must have a valid drivers license. Commercial drivers license is required. Must have proof of ability to meet DOT physical requirements. Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
