Key Responsibilities
Route Driving
· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Operate a 16ft or 24ft vehicle to service designated buildings across Culver City
· Collect full bins and redeploy empty bins as needed at each site
· Create and maintain a pull list to track bin movements and location inventory
· Consolidate waste into fewer bags as appropriate and clearly label each bag with the corresponding building number
· Verify each trash and transfer enclosure has the correct number of waste bins
· Deliver additional empty bins to buildings as needed and retrieve extras
· Ensure accuracy and accountability of waste container logistics across the route
Sorting Operations
· Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE during all sorting activities
· Support sustainability goals by properly sorting waste, recycling, and compostable materials
· Open and process each waste bag at the sorting station, separating contents by waste stream
· Place sorted items into designated gondolas for downstream processing
· Transport full gondolas to the appropriate compactor or hauler bin
· Report any unsorted, contaminated, or mismanaged bags to the supervisor at the end of the shift
· Clean and maintain the sorting area, including floors, mats, tables, walls, and bins
· Lock/unlock bins and compactors at the start and end of the shift
· Secure or store sorting equipment properly after use
· Record and report waste data and diversion metrics as requested
· Perform general cleaning or sustainability-related duties across campus as assigned
E-Waste Collection
· Partner with lab and office personnel to collect expired batteries and prepare them for disposal
· Retrieve e-waste items such as monitors, speakers, and headsets from employee workspaces
· Ensure proper handling and storage of e-waste materials for pickup by service providers
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Valid driver's license
· Clean driving record (1 point or less, subject to insurance approval)
· Experience driving vehicles between 16ft-24ft preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height and perform physical labor throughout shift
· Capable of standing for an entire 8-hour shift when needed
· Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle materials quickly and repetitively
· Experience with waste management or janitorial services is a plus

OVERVIEW OF JOB
The Regional Zone Manager supervises and facilitates cleaning operations for customers in an assigned territory. Responsible for planning, directing participating, and overseeing crew members and subcontractors, ensuring performance expectations are met. Position Summary:
The Crew Lead performs site Crew tasks and ensure Crew tasks are fully executed at site.
Interact with the client to provide professional and prompt customer service as needed.
Provide direction and task coordination for assigned Crew.
Ensure Crew members understand and are knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
The Crew Lead collaborates with Crew to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations and resolve deficiencies in a timely manner,
The Crew Lead assists Supervisor or Zone Manager with new hires and training.
Ensure team members have the information and tools to do their jobs effectively; provide clarity and support team members' success.
May assist Supervisor or Zone Manager with interviews and training
The Crew Lead motivates the crew; interacts regularly with crew members to provide support and clarity and leads by example.
Requirements:
Experience in janitorial operations and distribution center environment strongly preferred.
1-3 years in a Lead/Supervisory role
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
Customer Service oriented, friendly, and positive demeanor with the ability to motivate team members and support customer requests in an orderly and timely manner.
