SUMMARY
Working under the supervision of the physician, the Aesthetician is a skincare specialist responsible for the delivery of a variety of elective cosmetic/therapeutic services, treatments, and education to patients, designed to improve or maintain the health and appearance of the skin. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform professional consultations regarding available services and products; determine patient skincare goals and objectives, along with a care plan to facilitate achievement of those goals
Perform patient procedures, e.g., deep pore cleansing, chemical exfoliation/peels, facials, glycolic acid peels, hair removal, laser therapy, micro-dermabrasion, skin rejuvenation, skin hydration, etc.
Provide patient education for skin care, recommending adjustments to the patient's skincare routine as appropriate to reinforce provider's therapy regimen and enhance patient confidence
Consult with physician concerning treatments and patient compliance or non-compliance
Accurately document in the patient's electronic health record as required
Process correspondence and home care instructions regarding skin treatment plans; track referral sources, sending thank you letters to the source
Develop written instructions on various aspects of skin care
Maintain work areas appropriate for patient treatments and product sales, and in compliance with OSHA standards
Maintain all equipment in working condition in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, resolving any issues or reporting any problems as appropriate
Maintain a complete inventory of cosmetic/treatment products; routinely check all supplies for expiration dates
Develop a patient base through direct provider referral and marketing efforts
Develop and successfully implement a marketing plan to focus on outside target markets, contributing to marketing brochures and ads; adhere to marketing budget
Order supplies as needed; order equipment as approved
Participate in special projects and assignments such as health fairs, community events, etc.

With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women's Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.
The OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. They also provide extensive OBGYN triage via telephone.
Performs extensive triage of OB/GYN patients via phone and calls patients with test results.
Performs fetal non-stress test (NST).
Prepares patients for examination and assists physician during treatment/procedures, examinations and testing of patients.
Records patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
Measures, records and documents vital signs.
Where applicable, performs phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.
Prepares and administers medications as directed by a provider.
Authorizes drug refills as directed.
Educates patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider; answering questions.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Sterilizes medical instruments per established standards and procedures.
Represents the office in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
Participates in team activities and professional development activities.
Demonstrates and embodies the Women's Care mission and core values.
Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Ability to obtain and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
Strong bedside manner and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a stressful, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers, and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
