Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a **Lab Technician near Sioux City, SD.** **Contract to Hire** **Shift:** 5 days a week from 12pm-8:30pm **Compensation:** $16-$18/hr for no degree or AS degree; $21/hr to start with a Bachelor's degree **_No experienced required; training provided!_**
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician I to join our team. This role involves handling samples, performing analyses, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Homogenize samples following standard protocols.
+ Assist with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, and racks.
+ Maintain the cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
+ Maintain and update records of all quality activities as required by Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
+ Perform applicable testing under supervision, ensuring proper proficiency and training.
+ Maintain and verify laboratory equipment.
**Qualifications:**
**Education and Experience:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
+ Bachelor's in Biology, microbiology, chemistry (Preferred)
+ Interest in Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field, or commercial laboratory experience (Preferred).
**Skills and Abilities:**
+ Proficiency in English (Required).
+ Basic reasoning skills (Required).
+ Basic mathematical skills (Preferred).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Required).
**Physical Demands:**
+ Ability to stand, move, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms.
+ Capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
+ Ability to talk, hear, and occasionally taste or smell.
+ Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 15 lbs.
