As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician, you will impact PSA Airlines' business growth by conducting aviation repairs and services that allow for operations to be on time. Job Responsibilities
Will perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the responsibility for work performed by themselves and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the Company's approved forms.

Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.

Summary of Essential Duties
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and non-routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Contour Airlines' fleet in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.

A Day In The Life of an A&P Mechanic
The position you are applying for will be under general supervision. You are responsible for the maintenance, modification, and servicing of aircraft and aircraft components following the manufacturer's specification and FARS.
Essential Duties of The A&P Mechanic
Perform routine scheduled maintenance and aircraft inspection by ACC's and current manufacturers' specifications.
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Modifies aircraft systems or components following drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.
Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize aircraft downtime. Requires ability to travel.
Review maintenance records and flight logs to schedule prescribed maintenance checks and overhauls.
Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completed.
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
One to two years of technical college/training or equivalent
Certifications/Licenses:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant
Minimum Experience:
Up to three to five years or more experience
Preferred Experience:
Up to six years or more experience
Skills:
Interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of aircraft parts/components.
Problem-solving and independent decision-making skills
Good communication skills
Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as inaircraft maintenance and safety.

The UH60 AircraftMechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions inaircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. * Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
* Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
* Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments.
* Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction.
* Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine inaircraft.
* Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
* Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraftin safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. This worker may be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration.
* Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Valid up-to-date A&P license.
* If no A&P license, shall have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned MDS (UH60).
* All experience must be within the Six (6) most recent years.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
* Tools are Required; must possess own shadowed/etched Tools and Toolbox.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
* Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work tasks.
* Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
* Able to properly use a variety of common hand tools and measuring devices such as gauges, torque wrenches and scales and test, measurement and diagnostic equipment related to specific aircraft models.
* Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
* Must have skill in reading, applying and interpreting technical data.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
* Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
* Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
* Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
* Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.
* May work inAircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
