We're looking for a Data Analyst who can bring clarity to complex business questions across the company. In this role, you'll work directly with senior leaders in finance, accounting, IT, business development, operations, and Growth & Integration to collect, analyze, and present data that supports decision-making. This role is about connecting the dots, spotting trends, and helping us understand why the numbers look the way they do and what they mean for the future of our business.
What You'll Do
Partner with departments across the organization (finance, IT, marketing, accounting, Growth & Integration) to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that provide consistent, repeatable insights.
Identify market and internal trends, explain what the data is telling us, and forecast potential outcomes.
Translate data into clear stories and recommendations for executives and business leaders.
Develop repeatable processes for ongoing reporting and analysis across multiple departments.
Support strategic initiatives such as Growth & Integration analysis, operational improvements, and financial forecasting.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Data Analyst working in the AEC industry.
Strong background in Excel and Power BI; able to design, build, and optimize dashboards and reports.
Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and present findings in a way that is actionable and easy to understand.
Experience working across multiple business areas (finance, accounting, IT, marketing, Growth & Integration, or similar).
Strong communication skills and able to explain not just the what but the why behind the data.
Comfort working with executives and presenting insights to senior leadership.
A proactive mindset with the ability to create repeatable processes and scalable reporting.
Nice to Have
Experience in the AEC industry or other professional services firms.
Familiarity with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, or advanced forecasting tools.

What You'll Do
Research: Perform timely and accurate property, zoning, and utility research to ensure compliance with municipal land use regulations.

Who you are
Extensive experience performing land use planning/land development-related activities.
A bachelor's degree in planning, landscape architecture, geography, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience interpreting and applying City and County Comprehensive Plans and Development Codes. Knowledge of Oregon's Statewide Planning System.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and scheduling software (Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while providing support to Senior Land Use Planners or Project Managers with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines and prioritize workload. Able to think critically and provide creative and realistic solutions.
Someone who can jump in and do what needs to be done.

AKS Engineering & Forestry (AKS) is looking for a full-time Aerial Survey Lead. This seller/doer position will work closely with our surveying and engineering teams and will play a vital role in successfully supplying complex geospatial data for our projects across the Pacific Northwest.
What You'll Do
Manage an aerial survey team across multiple offices.
Operate UAVs to acquire lidar and imagery data, and other data types as capable.
Develop and implement best management practices to improve overall aerial data acquisition and deliverable generation workflows.
Train and mentor junior team members on BMPs for operation, data collection, and data processing
Oversee and complete equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration
Analyze and process the collected data using GIS and/or CADD software and analyze imagery to create Ortho mosaic images, digital elevation models, topographic maps and reports
Research and pursue additional business lines for which aerial survey data may be beneficial
Research and pursue lines of work outside of surveying for which aerial platforms may provide a benefit (e.g., crop/vegetation health)
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Surveying, or related field preferred
At least 5 years of experience performing aerial surveying tasks (preferred in responsible charge)
Knowledge of surveying principles, including coordinate systems and map projections
Hold an FAA Part 107 Remote-Pilot-in Command Certification and are proficient in operating unmanned aerial systems
Hold additional licenses/certificates (e.g., PLS, ASPRS-CMS or similar)
Understand and consistently apply industry standard specifications and protocols, etc., ASPRS
Expertise in acquiring aerial data such as LiDAR, RGB cameras, Multispectral Cameras, Thermal
Experienced with processing and interpreting data to produce final surveying and mapping products.
Ability to work in a team and communicate technical information to clients and other professionals.
Proficiency with mapping, surveying, and/or engineering software such as ArcGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD, PIX4D, Metashape, and Trimble Business Center
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Ambitious, motivated and not hesitant to take initiative to explore the capabilities of aerial surveying and mapping technology

In this key role, you'll have a direct impact on the success of our projects by guiding survey efforts from start to finish and helping shape the future of our growing presence in the region. What You'll Do
Work on a variety of exciting projects, including multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, residential subdivisions, municipal pipelines, commercial sites, and public works.
Operate or oversee the use of Trimble Robotic Total Stations with Survey Pro TSC5 Data Collectors.
Perform field surveys as needed and guide our office techs and field crews.
Maintain clear, accurate, and organized field notes, documenting lines, angles, distances, benchmarks, and related calculations.
Use computers and related software to compile survey data and generate technical drawings.
Sign and stamp official documents, including subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, Records of Survey, lot line adjustments, plats, and legal descriptions.
Interpret and prepare legal descriptions for real property accurately and professionally
Plan, coordinate, and review the work of team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Perform AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting tasks, including setting up sheets, importing points, creating line work, boundary resolution, and preparing plats and survey maps.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with best practices.
Who You Are
Washington Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
Strong knowledge of all phases of land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic mapping, and construction staking.
Familiar with Washington land surveying laws, regulations, and standards.
Proficient in technical areas such as ALTA/ACSM surveys, platting, land development, right-of-way surveys, preliminary design and topo surveys, construction layout, deed and map research, and project organization.
Experience with GPS, aerial mapping, and scanning technologies.
Skilled in boundary resolution and preparing Records of Survey.
Clear and effective verbal/written communicator, including experience with proposals and technical reports.

Prepare high-quality Wetland Delineation Reports that meet Oregon DSL and USACE standards

We are seeking an experienced Registered Geologist (RG) or Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) to support and expand our geological services within the Geotechnical Engineering team. Who You Are

8 or more years of experience in geology or geotechnical consulting, preferably supporting land development projects.
Strong understanding of geologic hazards, soil and rock behavior, groundwater conditions, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Geologist (RG) or Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) to support and expand our geological services within the Geotechnical Engineering team. This role will focus on technical leadership, project delivery, client support, and service growth for projects throughout the pacific northwest.
What You'll Do
Serve as a senior technical resource for geological and engineering geology services on land development and public improvement projects.
Perform and oversee geological evaluations including site reconnaissance, geologic hazard assessments, subsurface interpretation, grading feasibility evaluations, and site suitability analyses.
Prepare, review, and contribute to geological and geotechnical reports, technical memoranda, exhibits, and recommendations.
Interpret subsurface data (borings, test pits, CPTs, field mapping) and collaborate with geotechnical engineers to support design and permitting.
Provide expert input related to soils, rock, groundwater conditions, slope stability, seismic hazards, and earthwork constraints.
Collaborate with civil engineering, land use planning, surveying, and natural resources teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
Participate in project kickoff meetings, internal coordination efforts, and client meetings to represent geological considerations.
Perform site visits and field observations to evaluate soil and groundwater conditions.
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and technical approaches.
Assist in identifying opportunities to expand geological services within existing and new land development clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and project partners as a trusted technical advisor.
Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior staff and project teams.
Who You Are
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
Registered Geologist (RG), Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) preferred (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months).
8 or more years of experience in geology or geotechnical consulting, preferably supporting land development projects.
Strong understanding of geologic hazards, soil and rock behavior, groundwater conditions, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing technical reports and communicating findings to clients and agencies.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.

Perform field surveys as needed and guide our office techs and field crews.
Maintain clear, accurate, and organized field notes, documenting lines, angles, distances, benchmarks, and related calculations.
Use computers and related software to compile survey data and generate technical drawings.
Sign and stamp official documents, including subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, Records of Survey, lot line adjustments, plats, and legal descriptions.
Interpret and prepare legal descriptions for real property accurately and professionally
Plan, coordinate, and review the work of team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Perform AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting tasks, including setting up sheets, importing points, creating line work, boundary resolution, and preparing plats and survey maps.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with best practices.
Who You Are
Washington Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
