    The Site Quality Manager is responsible for management of quality activities including customer and supplier evaluations and approvals, performance monitoring and improvement, quality requirements development and flow-down, problem resolution and root cause corrective actions, auditing, risk assessments, and training. This role leads the management of customer source activities including scheduling and coordination of customer and regulatory agency source requirements, product and paperwork quality verifications, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The Site Quality Manager will perform FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) functions, customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) functions, and provide Quality Liaison support for various customers in order to resolve quality issues, enable positive channels of communication, and ensure customer satisfaction. The incumbent will also ensure audit readiness and manage site 6-S initiatives. This position reports directly to the SFMS Director, Quality Engineering. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement progressive Quality tools and practices to improve the management and performance of AMETEK Aerospace Wilmington site Work closely with the Supply Chain teams in the management of suppliers; identification, evaluation, and approval of new suppliers, quality requirements, work transfers, risk assessments, performance measurement and reviews, problem solving and root cause corrective actions Support quality activities needed by new product development teams and ensure effective transition of new purchased products into production Obtain and maintain FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) authorization in support of FAA source and conformity activities Obtain and maintain various customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) authorizations in support of customer source activities Timely problem identification & resolution of quality problems that may result in production and customer delivery delays Support customer investigations for reported product failures or other complaints and assist in corrective actions Coordinate and perform a range of activities including on-site reviews, assessments/audits, problem solving, training/development, improvement projects, etc. Maintain Wilmington QMS and Support Customer and regulatory audits and meet customer quality regulations Requirements for Consideration Bachelor's degree in technical discipline required FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) Certification Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Quality Manager or 5-10 years as a Quality Engineer/Specialist in a manufacturing environment; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred AS9100 Internal Auditing Training Must be a prior FAA DMIR or obtain FAA DMIR certification and periodically attend off-site FAA training and related seminars to remain certified Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience a plus Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizations skills; demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
