Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently

Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, and wiring schematics
Ability to work weekend and off shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literacy and willingness to learn SAP/PPE systems
Allen-Bradley programming and troubleshooting experience

Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as circuit breakers, switches, motors, and sensors, to restore equipment functionality. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical systems. Conduct regular safety inspections, report potential hazards, and participate in safety training programs to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment manuals. Document repairs, modifications, and upgrades to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in electrical systems. Propose and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability, reduce energy consumption, and optimize workflow.
Provide training and technical support to production operators and maintenance personnel on electrical systems and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices to build a skilled and competent workforce.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, troubleshoot issues under pressure, and implement temporary fixes to restore operations safely. Coordinate with other teams as necessary to resolve complex problems.
Qualifications:
Licensed journeyman electrician
2+ years of experience and worked in a manufacturing setup that includes electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment, motors, encoders, proximity switches, safety light curtains, safety interlocks. Experience in troubleshooting electrical problems of automated machines and other advanced machining equipment in a large toolroom will be preferred.
Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, convey technical information, and document work activities accurately.
Willingness to learn about modern technologies and adapt to changing work requirements. Flexibility to work on call, overtime, and weekends as needed to support production schedules and team needs.
Can read electrical drawings/schematics, working knowledge of 'Lock out Tag Out' principles, Tools used in electrical trades, fundamental understanding of electrical motors, encoder devices, basic circuits.

An employee can “level up”, that is, test for the next level every 90 days until they reach the top of the scale.
Skill Level 1
Connect solar panels, inverters, and other high-voltage equipment to a building's power supply.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain PV related electrical wiring, breakers, and equipment.
Test PV electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, and equipment based on job specifications and local codes.
Install underground cabling, single and multiple conduit runs in an effective and efficient manner.

Travel Required - 90 to 100% - Electricians travel to our job sites and working with our installation staff, install solar systems for our customers. Job site locations vary, therefore overnight travel is required. Harvest values our associates work life balance scheduling overnight travel Monday through Friday. Hotel and transportations costs are covered. Additionally, a $65.00 per day (taxable) food per diem is paid for overnight stays.
Shop Environment 0 to 10% of the time: Position supports construction and shop activities therefore, exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid and cold conditions.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manufacture quality blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and sub-assemblies using various tools and equipment while maintaining compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.
Perform maintenance and repairs on building equipment, ensuring good quality and safe operation.
Assist in training employees and coordinate with supervisors on scheduling and project assignments.
Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) as needed.
Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to resolve manufacturing problems and report any shortages of parts, tools, or materials.
Complete daily time accounting, payroll information, and other required documentation.
Perform all tasks with minimal supervisory assistance, demonstrating proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician Certification with 8+ years of related experience
Proficiency in machine and sub-assembly wiring, startup, checkout, and troubleshooting
Leadership experience and process knowledge preferred
Ability to use personal hand tools, mainframe computer, and work with metric and standard inch systems

Principal Accountabilities
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently
Apply strong problem-solving and programming troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
Ensure reliability of manufacturing processes and compliance with standards
Perform preventative and annual maintenance on equipment
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Identify, plan, and execute follow-up maintenance work
Prepare and maintain safe, organized work environments
Respond to unplanned maintenance needs as directed
Accurately complete and document work orders and maintenance records
Communicate maintenance updates through written pass-downs
Maintain and troubleshoot electronic controls and instrumentation
Use diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscope, VOM) to test and repair systems
Required Qualifications
Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the state of Michigan
3 years manufacturing maintenance experience
Basic programming and advanced troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
High School or GED Equivalent
Be able to troubleshoot PLCs and Ladder logic
Be willing to be a part of the Hazmat team
Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
Ability to read & interpret blueprints or other forms of engineering drawings
Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, and wiring schematics
Ability to work weekend and off shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literacy and willingness to learn SAP/PPE systems
Allen-Bradley programming and troubleshooting experience
Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
Proficient with test/calibration tools (RTD calibrators, multimeters, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase, 120 VAC, and 24VDC circuits
