As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced journeymen and foremen to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of tasks, from conduit installation to reading blueprints, ensuring you develop the skills needed to become a proficient electrician.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation:
Install a variety of electrical systems, including switchgear, motor control centers, electrical panels, fire alarms, conveyor systems, lighting fixtures, and power systems.
Install feeder and branch conduit, including EMT, IMC, rigid, PVC, and PVC-coated rigid conduit. Perform bending, cutting, and threading of conduit in all sizes and types.
Pull branch conduit wire and assist in the installation of underground wiring.
Blueprint Reading & Interpretation:
Accurately read and interpret various types of blueprints, including MEP drawings, architectural plans, wiring diagrams, schematics, and submittals.
Follow detailed electrical specifications and plan details to ensure installation is performed according to code and design requirements.
Physical Labor & Site Assistance:
Assist with the physical aspects of installation, including lifting and carrying materials, and performing tasks in overhead, tight, and confined spaces.

Collaboration and Support:

Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required.

Obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification by the end of the 4th year of apprenticeship.
Physical Requirements:

The Role
We're looking for exceptional technicians who can deliver the most efficient, highest quality customer experiences in residential electrical repair and installation.
As a electrical technician, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competency and ensure desired sales metrics. You will diagnose and repair electrical issues and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
The position will be based in our office, with opportunities to travel within our service area.
Responsibilities
Complete all general electrical in-home, service calls.
Know how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
Understand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
Work along side customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows and retreats.
Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
Requirements
Knowledge of local electrical codes and ability to make on-the-job applications.
Proven track record in electrical techniques including electrical hardware, junction boxes and circuit breaker units, trace lines and reading wiring diagrams.
Clean, safe driving record.
Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
Strong verbal and written communications.
