**Responsibilities**

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a structured training lab and a production environment. Training occurs in a classroom setting on-site, focusing on safety, electrical wiring, and standard protocols, with hands-on sessions for practical skills. The production environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, consisting of cell stations with 5-7 technicians per work cell. Standard shifts are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday to Friday during training, transitioning to a 3:30 pm - 11:00 pm shift after training. Must be open to working Saturdays and overtime as required, but no more than 58 hours per week.

Maintain detailed and accurate service and maintenance records in accordance with departmental protocols.
Additional Responsibilities
Pick up and transport parts and materials from vendors and warehouses as needed.
Maintain a current and valid Journeyman Electrician License through employment.

Minimum Qualifications Education & License:
High school diploma or GED required.
Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License.
Other Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electrical experience.
Experience with HVAC systems is preferred.
Familiarity with diagnosing and troubleshooting air and hydraulic systems.
Skills & Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license.

High School Diploma or GED required
5 years of Industrial Electrician chemical experience or a closely similar industrial plant manufacturing setting.
Hold a Journeyman or Master license.
Possess specialized expertise in installing and maintaining electrical systems within manufacturing operations and/or a related field is an advantage.
Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information
This is a full-time position that reports to the Maintenance Manager. The work schedule for this position is a Monday - Friday, day, schedule. This role may be required to overtime hours outside regular shift schedule to support non-routine work and plant turnarounds. The Memphis biodiesel manufacturing plant operates on a 7-day, 24-hour schedule.

Purpose and Scope
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Works under general supervision to perform journeyman-level work, such as repairing and maintaining electrical wiring; evaluating layout plans and cost estimates; installing new systems; repairing existing electrical high and low voltage electrical systems; performing minor rebuilding tasks; and repairing or replacing miscellaneous equipment.

Ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment in the District.
Inspects electrical installations of contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and electrical codes.
Evaluates and estimates the cost of electrical repair and minor installations for new and/or remodeled projects.
Plans layout and installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Responds to electrical emergency situations, when requested.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited high school with a high school diploma or possess a GED;

, four (4) years' experience in commercial electrical installation and /or maintenance. Memphis and Shelby County Journeyman Electrical License required. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S):
Memphis and Shelby County Journeyman Electrical License required.
