About this Role Steps one and two gave the Apprentice the basic skills to use the common tools and techniques associated with powerline work. Step two introduced the Apprentice to energized secondary work to teach them the principles of live work. During step three the Apprentice will begin energized primary work. In addition, the Apprentice will learn how to connect single phase transformers. Complete set of personal climbing gear MUST be obtained no later than the end of step two Apprenticeship, no exceptions. While working aloft on or near energized primary circuits the step three Apprentice must be directly supervised by a Lineman or Foreman at the same physical location as the Apprentice (on the pole with, in the bucket with or adjacent to). What You'll Do The following, along with the tasks listed in the previous steps, is a list of the kind of tasks the step three Apprentice should be engaged in and learning while on the job. Installing primary protective cover. Hoses Blankets Guards Directly supervised primary line work. Assisting and installing0 single phase transformers.     We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Electricians with experience bending a running EMT conduit. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work, a solid understanding of conduit systems, and a passion for learning and advancing their skills in the electrical trade. Responsibilities: Conduit Installation: Proficiently install, bend, and thread conduits of various types and sizes according to electrical specifications and project requirements. Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of conduit systems. Wiring and Termination: Assist in the wiring and termination of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards. Material Handling: Responsible for the proper handling and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment. Collaboration: Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing effective solutions with attention to quality and efficiency. Continuous Learning: Actively seek opportunities for professional development and advancement within the electrical trade. Qualifications: Experience: Prior experience in conduit bending and installation is required. Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring, and terminations is a plus. Experience running/bending EMT conduit 1/2" to 1" is REQUIRED. Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is desirable. Skills: Proficient in conduit bending, threading, and installation 1/2" to 1" Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and precision in work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of electrical codes and regulations. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform duties requiring physical strength and endurance. About this Role Steps one and two gave the Apprentice the basic skills to use the common tools and techniques associated with powerline work. Step two introduced the Apprentice to energized secondary work to teach them the principles of live work. During step three the Apprentice will begin energized primary work. In addition, the Apprentice will learn how to connect single phase transformers. Complete set of personal climbing gear MUST be obtained no later than the end of step two Apprenticeship, no exceptions.
