MAJOR FUNCTION
This position is responsible for the assembly, complete machine documentation and other various assembly operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build standard machine as required by daily shipping report; follow checklists and manufacturing order definitions.
Refer to machine check lists as steps of assembly operation - before release to testing.
Record and complete machine documentation information, such as (Serial number, Date, Model, Initials) on machine completions log book.
Verify M.O. matched actual approved machine and contents of M.O. including correct materials and labor time.
Report defective assemblies or components to final Assembly Lead and replace as required.
Must have electrical background related to assembly.
Must be able to perform heavy assembly in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to build and maintain high quality standards.
Must have heavy assembly experience.
Assist with other machine assemblies as required.
Build custom machines as required or assigned.
Prep stock trailers (tires, axles, etc.) if required.
Perform production unit clean up tasks as assigned in work instruction and safety standards. Sweep machine building path daily or as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent; previous heavy machine assembly experience , with at least (5) years of experience. Must be mechanically inclined and use of power tools.
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and write and speak English effectively.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, and electrical assemblies.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
The ideal candidate will possess problem solving skills, dependability and will observe all safety and security guidelines.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with non-A/C working environment.
Must be able to work around mechanical / pneumatic tools and be able to use them.
Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment, and be multi-tasked.
Must be reliable, dependable and have good attendance.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Must be able to work occasional overtime, including Saturday's as work demands.

Position Overview:
As part of the talented Stuart Operations team, you will assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Assembly of components including plastic parts, ball screws, gears, and motors, including final assembly
Operate manual machines
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations and procedures
Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
Test finished products for defects.

Purpose:
Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished electromechanical products using documented procedures and specifications.
You will be responsible for:
o Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to perform daily tasks.
o Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and finished products of moderate complexity as prescribed by drawings and/or procedures.
o Perform dimensional measurements to verify conformance to specified tolerances.
o Conduct tests of electromechanical products as prescribed by drawings and/or procedures.
o Thoroughly document work performed (i.e. but not limited to parts used, test results) on data sheets, manufacturing records, and other components of the device history record (DHR).
o Ensure proper care of components, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration.
o Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.

Purpose:
Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished electromechanical products using documented procedures and specifications.
You will be responsible for:
o Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to perform daily tasks.

o Perform dimensional measurements to verify conformance to specified tolerances.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
o Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience repairing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
o Ability to document and communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
o Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public
o Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and in to comply civil rights requirements
o Five years of experience performing troubleshooting and PM on basic electronic, electromechanical or medical equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.
o Strong knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
o Experience interpreting schematic diagrams of basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
o Operate with efficiency and sense of urgency
o Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.
o Ability to deliver results in an uncertain environment, ability to multitask and prioritize.
o Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures

What You Will Do
This is an amazing opportunity to work as an Assembly and Test Mechanic in our GTF MRO Commercial Engine Center.
This is a 2nd shift. Monday-Friday 3:30pm-midnight. Includes a 10% shift differential.
You will use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly/components or test equipment/test components.
You will acquire tools and hardware as required to perform assembly and test procedures.
We operate a wide variety of tools to assemble/disassemble a jet engine or operate support utilities to run the test article.
We monitor instrumentation and perform engine service during test under the direction of supervision or delegate.
You will use work instruction and procedures to assemble/dissemble jet engines or other assigned work.
You will check all phases of assembly, as specified by work instructions, to perform self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Work independently or with assigned personnel to set up the test stand, and preparing and mounting the test article per procedure.
we assist with engine inspections as required by the engine test plan.
You will inspect, maintain, and complete necessary reporting on equipment, facilities, and support systems.
Remove instrumentation, equipment, and utilities to de-prep, dismount, and preserve test article for shipment.
You will prepare test article for proper storage and transportation. Move test article to the proper location.
Package engines for shipment to the customer
May be asked to work varying shifts as needed.

This is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Mechanic.
This is a 2nd Shift Monday -Friday 3:00pm to11:30PM. There is a shift differential offered on 2nd shift.
What You Will Do
Work from procedures, preliminary sketches, operations sheets, layouts, complicated drawings, written engineering, supervisor or lead mechanic or electronic work instructions.
Layout, fabricates, assemble, and modify jet engine assembly or test articles, test stands, equipment, and support systems. Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly/components or test equipment/test components.
Operate a wide variety of tools to assemble/disassemble a jet engine or APU or operate support utilities to run the test article. Check all phases of assembly/disassembly including inspecting critical functions for final inspection ensuring adherence to quality standards. Monitor instrumentation and perform engine service during test.
Assist in the training activity of not more than two other team members during the assembly/disassembly or test process to ensure safe operation.
Complete appropriate documentation/sign-off in assembly/disassembly or test procedures as required.
After assembly, ensure test article is prepared for delivery to test cell.
Perform basic instrumentation troubleshooting for test. Reconfigure or repair test stand, test systems and test equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain test facilities, support systems, and special test equipment. Inspect, maintain and complete necessary reporting on equipment, facilities and support systems. Remove instrumentation, equipment and utilities to de-prep, dismount, and preserve test article for shipment.
Ensure all functions are performed according to Pratt & Whitney, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality policies. Perform other related work assignments as required or directed by supervision and/or lead mechanics that support department objectives.

Learn to evaluate all cores and their associated documents before beginning assembly and test.
Confirm the accuracy of information in the documented sleeve in describing the parts in the overhaul bin.
Understand any customer supplied information that may describe issues experienced with the fuel system, specific delivery requirements, and any other relevant requirements.
Establish that the latest overhaul information for the system in question is readily available and thoroughly understood before Assembly and Test work begins.
Ensure that the assembly and test of the fuel system is in compliance with all equipment manufacturer's overhaul manual and Airflow's Quality Manual requirements.
Performing all duties in a manner that avoids unnecessary exposure to machinery, cleaning agents etc. Fulfilling this responsibility can only be achieved by:
