Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
Performs setups and adjustments of machinery for assembling metal chain parts
Interprets job specifications and reads blueprints.
Inspects products to verify conformance utilizing various measuring devices.
Assembles parts to product specifications per print.
Maintains record keeping for jobs and inventory.
Coordinates with others to achieve maximum throughput and meet department and company goals.
Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety regulations.
Operates material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, cranes and hoists.
Uses good judgment and works in a safe responsible manner. Other tasks/functions as assigned.
General knowledge and ability to safely use hand tools.
Other tasks, functions and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
1 - 2 years manufacturing related experience.
Ability to input to and retrieve from computer based software programs.
Able to perform moderately active work typical of a manufacturing plant environment. Examples include pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, bending, twisting.

How you will Impact Smurfit WestRock:
* Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned, either verbally and/or written.
* Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
* Lead run changes, plate and ink set ups, and machine operation to produce multiple print runs per shift.

* Maintain daily production log. Assist and direct Wrapper with Pallet Tags, etc.

* Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria
* Execute end of day and weekly machine cleaning while keeping entire work area neat and organized.
* Learn machine basic operation and make machine adjustments as needed.
* Report further machine problems to service maintenance mechanics, and production lead as needed.
* Use Safe Work Practice. Use of required PPE. Use machine guarding, Lockout/tagout program.
* Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with other team members in a noisy work environment.
* Think and act quickly in fast-paced production environment.
* Use Basic mechanical ability to operate tools, set up, and adjust machine.
* Use Basic math skills to count production quantities, measure raw materials, and finished product.
What you need to succeed
* Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
* Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
* Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.

Follow prescribed safety regulations (i.e. Proper PPE).
Complete Exsurco Quality System Training and ensure compliance to all manufacturing processes.

You'll follow Bills of Material, work orders, visual aids, and check sheets while inspecting parts throughout production to ensure quality.What's a Typical Day Like?
Utilize documentation such as Bills of Material, product flow charts, work orders, check sheets, visual aids, and production reports toassemble product and record results
Perform soldering, fabricating, crimping, mechanical assembly, taping, cable spooling, sealing, capping, clamping, bonding, and coiling
Basic computer skills to review documents and to load and operate auto-baggers
Inspect work throughout the assembly process and communicate any quality or operational issues
Assist in correcting procedures to ensure consistency of quality and efficiency
Maintain neat,orderly,and clean work area to ensure efficiency andno safety hazards
Meet all quality,quantity,and good manufacturing practices to satisfy customer and Regulatory Affairs requirements
Ensure environmental conservations by shutting off equipment and lights not in use
Ensure first pieces at the beginning of each work order
Record documentation to labor sheets, check sheets, visual aids, production sheets, and work orders
Audit work orders daily
Use proper equipment to transport finished goods to appropriate location
