The role of the Production Worker is to perform necessary functions in order to efficiently, safely, and correctly prepare and process raw material to prepare it for cooking or cut & package finished product in preparation for shipment to customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
General:
Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
Ensure product conforms to specifications.
Prevent and minimize rework and/or inedible.
May require working on taping machines, shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, trash and recycling compactors.
Perform standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.
Successfully complete all necessary technical training and skills verification as directed.
Successfully complete all necessary soft skills training as directed.
Return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork as directed.
Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.

Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
Keep record of products used to follow FIFO (first in - first out).
Ready to Eat:
Count and place packages in appropriate caddies, maintaining accurate records, washing and sanitizing carts, racks, and trucks.
Handling finished product, placing it continuously in trays or assembly lines to be shipped to our customers.
Making pallets by stacking boxes onto pallets, preparing the pallet with cardboard wrapping, manually shrink wrapping, and pulling/pushing pallets with manual pallet jack.

Assemble part kits and fit components into complete assemblies.
Set up, operate, and dismantle unit assembly and subassembly workstations.
Operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines to fabricate and assemble parts.
Verify dimensions, alignment, and conformance of finished assemblies to specifications.
Follow all standard work, control plans, quality guidelines, and Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area, following all safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals.
Apply problem-solving skills and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Use personal tools as required and perform minor repairs on assemblies.
Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Pay for Assembler: $18/hour
Assembler Benefits:
Paid breaks: 20-minute lunch, 10-minute break
Orientation on Mondays at 8:00am, classroom style
Plant with A/C and well-stocked break room
Half reimbursement for steel-toed boots through Brown Shoes or Quad City Company

Schedule: Monday - Friday, with overtime on Saturday (every 3rd Saturday off)

Assemble various sub-assemblies and final assemblies to print and worksheet specifications. Starting Pay $20.07/ hour. Hours are 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday (with optional overtime only). A Lot of Growth Opportunity. * Read and interpret blueprints and follow various work instructions.
* Assemble various burner assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance to print and worksheet requirements.
* Proficient at visualizing how components should be assembled.
* Proficient using various hand tools including drills, air tools etc.
* Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving.
* Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times.
* Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
* Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
* Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
* Adhere to company policies.
* Other duties: Maintain clean, efficient work area. Ability to work well with minimum supervision.
Physical Skill and Effort:
Standing, bending, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs., periodically during the work shift. Dexterity required includes the ability to safely work with power and hand tools.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal hazards associated with working in a metal fabricating environment. Personal protection equipment required consists of: safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protection. Additional personal protection equipment may be required and is dependent upon the work being performed, and may include: face shield, respirator etc.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Two years in an assembly manufacturing environment.
