The Aircraft Manufacturing Training Program will train to perform structural work on the C-130 aircraft in accordance with technical data. The applicant will receive related instruction (RI) and on the job learning (OJL) to include assembly and installation, repair, and inspection of structural, electrical, and mechanical elements of an aircraft while performing direct tasks for the program. The applicant will be expected to perform repetitive and non-repetitive operations after completing training with some assistance and supervision. Works from blueprints, diagrams, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools to perform work according to technical data. Must be able to read and speak English, comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must perform and pass required proficiency assessments/demonstrations. For consideration in the program, candidates must enroll in the AMTP program offered through Chattahoochee Technical College. Tuition costs may apply, but in-state financial aid and grants may be available to qualifying candidates. Candidates are responsible for submitting the aid application through the Chattahoochee Technical College process for eligibility verification. The program is a 10 week training program and requires the successful completion of all training classes delivered, a hands-on proficiency demonstration in week four in order to be considered for hire.
