Brendan Richardson is the CEO and a co-founder of PsiKick. He has more than 17 years of experience as an early stage investor, advisor and entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding PsiKick, Brendan was a Partner at Vision Capital based in Silicon Valley where he made early-stage investments into semiconductor and optical component start-ups in the Valley and across Europe. During his time at Vision Capital,he managed investments in and served on the Boards of Massana, ChipIdea and Altitun – highly successful fabless start-ups in the IC / Optical industry. Since 2007 he has resided in Charlottesville, VA where he mentors early stage companies and teaches courses in Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital investing at the McIntire School of Commerce at UVA. He is also the Chairman of HackCville, a start-up incubator / idea-foundry with an insurrectionist streak. He received his B.S. in Finance and Management from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

I bring experience gained from a wide range of disciplines, with a consistent focus on developing and applying technology and advanced analytics to solve complex real-world business problems. Prior to Astraea, I was the Director of Commercial Analytics at Elder Research where I provided analytics solutions and strategy for clients across numerous industries such as insurance, oil and gas, and healthcare. A decorated war veteran, I served as an officer with specialization in Signal Intelligence. I have degrees in Applied Mathematics and Advanced Analytics from NCSU.
