JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Job Duties * Support the daily operations of Penn State Berks athletic/recreational facilities and/or activities. * Enforce rules and regulations of athletic/recreational facilities and/or activities. * Adhere to safe and appropriate use of all equipment and modalities within established guidelines. * Monitor and operate game clocks and timing systems during Penn State Berks athletic events to ensure accurate timekeeping in accordance with sport-specific rules and regulations. * Collaborate with officials and event staff to maintain synchronization and resolve any timing discrepancies promptly. This is accomplished through the implementation of a weekly program plan that includes teams and leagues, skills classes, tournaments and contests, games, ongoing participatory events and various other health and fitness activities. Physical activities in the gymnasium and outdoor athletics promote an individual's group skills and offers opportunities for leadership development. Informal counseling, both individually and in groups, occurs daily in the Athletic program. Hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm during the school year; Monday through Friday from 12:00pm-5:00pm during the summer. Pay is $14.50 per hour Personal and sick time accrued after 90-day introductory period Job Segments: Program Related - In order to provide a quality experience for Boys & Girls Clubs' members, Athletic instructors are expected to plan a program which includes: Supervised free play. Low-organized group games daily. Tournaments or contests daily. Skills sessions twice weekly.
