Barista/Cashier The Barista/Cashier is responsible for making quality beverages, generally specialty coffee and hot beverages, preparing food orders, working the POS, and maintaining the store presentable to guests by cleaning and restocking. Cashier/Barista's must do all those tasks in a quick and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service to our “Paul ” guests. Position Task
Prepare and serve coffee, tea and other beverages while maintaining brand and quality standards, and prepare food order for guests
Properly handling and maintaining all equipment
Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
Maintain the brand standards and customer service
Provide guest with any support needed to guide them thru questions and understating our menu offerings
Observe and practice relevant health and safety standards
Clean and maintain coffee equipment in accordance with coffee manufacturer standards
Restock all grab and go, disposables, bags, etc.
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Previous experience in retail, hospitality and/or customer service is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional groups in a positive and collaborative manner
Ability to handle large work volumes requiring a high degree of accuracy and be highly organized
Detailed oriented and strong work ethic
Ability to set and handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations quickly, follow instructions, schedules and timelines
Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Compensation
Starting Hourly rate + Tips (estimated average $150-$600 per pay period)
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours may vary, Monday thru Sunday or as the job duties demand. Work on holidays may also be required. Compensation: $13.50 -$15.50

Key Responsibilities:
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Vim and Victor.
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep area operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the best environment during each shift.
Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
Follows Vim and Victor operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance

Our Barista position is a dynamic one! Below, we've mapped out the physical demands that are essential to the role:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; you're on your feet the majority of the day, whether you are standing behind bar pulling shots or walking the cafe floor
Use of hands to reach, grip, turn, and perform precision work; you're using your hands to operate beautiful espresso machines, pour delicious pour overs, and operate the register (among other responsibilities)
As needed, squat, bend, twist, and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders; for example, you may have to bend down or reach up to grab cups, lids, and towels
Ability to lift, push/pull, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds; for example, you'll be handling bags of coffee beans, coffee kegs, crates of milk, tubs of dishes, and trash bins
