Job Description: Perform general, as well as skilled duties to prepare the grade and to install storm drain, concrete, metal and other types of pipes to the proposed elevation, slope and percent of grade. Will perform other related duties such as pouring footers and installing precast and mason drainage structures. POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform general construction tasks involving physical labor at construction projects and plants. Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. Apply caulking compounds by hand or using caulking guns. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. Load, unload building materials, machinery, and tools. POSITIONS: 1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: The efficient management of assigned projects. Position has direct responsibility for contract administration, change orders, claims and completion of assigned projects on time within specifications and budget. Candidate will report to the Division Manager, Senior Project Manager, or General Superintendent. POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 6 PRIMARY FUNCTION: With minimal direct supervision, will operate a concrete mixer truck on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver concrete material. Suitable candidates are required to have valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license and good driving record. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver 1.) Climb on, over and around a company vehicle in order to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads. 2.) Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using ladder, doing repetitive motion to inspect concrete mix consistencies and perform Quality Control checks. 3.) Lift truck hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks. 4.) Support and assist shop personnel with any required repairs. 5.) Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, climb up and down truck washing facilities. 6.) Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times. 7.) Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects. 8.) Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions. 9.)
