Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $25, plus tips.

Oak View Group is the food services and hospitality partner of the Seattle Aquarium. The Seattle Aquarium is a conservation organization working to regenerate the health of Earth's one ocean. Responsibilities
* Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards.
* Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
* Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
* Responsible to learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available, and be able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests.
* Must pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
* Must check guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
* Must communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
* Listening and responding to any customer requests or concerns.
* Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations. If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required.
* Contact a management member if he/she is unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
* Request additional product or restock product as required
* Ability to handle cash accurately is required. Employee is responsible for issued bank at his/her bar.
* Maintains clean and sanitary work station at all times. Ensures bar equipment is clean & well maintained.
* Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler
Qualifications
* Six months or more experience bartending.
* Accurate cash handling skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.
Food and Beverage Service (60%):
Check the identification of all guests who appear to be under 26 years of age
Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality
Input orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served
Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys
Lock up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secures bank
Display knowledge of liquor laws, maintain the attractive presentation and sanitize all areas at least once daily, make suggestions for the reception and drink menus
Bus and clean tables after guest use
Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.
Guest Relations (30%):
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner as they enter the lounge, exchanging their beverage voucher for a beverage as needed
Identify issues and resolve guest issues
Detect and act on customer inebriation, as trained
Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guests
Other (10%):
Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure smooth delivery of services
Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
Obtain sales leads for the sales department
Coordinate with front desk, maintenance staff, Food and Beverage Manager and General Manager on things requiring attention

Compensation:
A base wage of $20.76 per hour.
This is a tipped position. We operate a tip-pool with daily tips being allocated based on hours worked and distributed with our biweekly payroll. While we cannot guarantee how much you will earn in tips, you can expect $8-$14 per hour based on recent weeks.

Overview
The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and if a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required.
Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
Request additional product or restock product as required.
Ability to handle cash accurately is required. Employees are responsible for issued bank at their bar.
Maintains clean and sanitary work station at all times. Ensures bar equipment is clean & well maintained.
Ability to prepare and serve food items as needed using proper sanitary techniques (Food Handler's Card required or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire).
Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler.
Qualifications
