This position works close with the F & B Manager and the General Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the food and beverage department. This position will assist management and all dining room positions in giving the best possible service to guests. This person will interact with staff and guests in a calm and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with all guests upon arrival and departure.
Ensure that all guests receive prompt attention and their orders are processed in a timely manner.
Ensure that tables are cleaned properly and set up according to established procedures. Perform other clean up tasks as required and necessary.
Clear used china, silverware, and glassware whenever necessary and deliver them to the dishwashing area.
Maintain service stations with clean silverware, china, and glassware and restock as necessary.
Assist other service personnel in clearing off and resetting tables.
Ensure that all guest checks are prepared and posted correctly for each food and beverage sale.
Follow all credit card transaction procedures.
Count cash at the beginning and end of each shift. Collect and control all monies received from the guests for services rendered. Maintain responsibility for the cash balance.
Prepare all cashier reports on a daily basis. Verify the clerical accuracy of all checks; to include prices, taxes, tips, number sequence, etc. Reconcile the register tapes with the total revenue reported on each shift.
Set up and tear down buffet service
Perform other side work and job related duties as required.
Advise the F & B Manager [General Manager of guest complaints and unsatisfactory food and beverage items.
Assist in ensuring that all health and safety standards are maintained.
Wear proper uniform and nametag. Present a clean and professional appearance.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
Responsible for completion of other additional duties as may be required or assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One+ year of dining room service preferred.
May need to meet age limits for serving Alcoholic beverages.
Ability to meet physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
High school graduate preferred
Must possess the ability to prioritize work.
Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and Holidays.
Must possess the ability to work all shifts as required.
Must adhere to the Comfort Inn Conference Center Pittsburgh East Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.

Position Summary:
Puttshack is looking to attract a diverse team of fun hospitality associates who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Barback position is crucial to our bartenders as they ensure everything is present to serve our guests efficiently. Additionally, they ensure our dining room, bar, and service areas are clean, sanitized, stocked, and visually appealing. They assist the bartenders in clearing the bar top, cleaning the glassware, and restocking everything needed to deliver a world class experience.
Schedule/Hours:
Our venues are open 7 days/week, typically from 11am-1am with some variations. While we will do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences, they may not always be guaranteed, and we value flexibility. All positions within our venue are variable schedules, meaning a typical schedule may be anywhere between 15 and 30 hours on a weekly basis depending on business needs and individual availability.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Bring your 'A' Game each and every day
Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits
Clean and stock glassware and other items such as napkins, straws, etc. around the bar area
Assist Bartenders with refilling bottles, prepping garnishes, etc.
Clean spills and/or broken glasses and keep areas tidy, complying with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
Take direction and be a team player
Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook
Other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side work, opening, and closing duties
Required Skills and Experience:
Must be 18+ years of age to apply.
Prior experience in hospitality or related field
General knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and various spirits

Specific Responsibilities and Duties
* Responsible for setting up bar.
* Responsible for handling all cash transactions.
* Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock.
* Responsible to take orders from guest and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
* Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.
* Responsible to have knowledge of guests limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Abides by all State, Federal, and Company liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service to minors and intoxicated guests.
* Ensures compliance with all federal and state gaming regulations. Performs additional duties as assigned.
* Understands all PLCB regulations.
* Abides by company and department specific appearance standards.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
* Ability to communicate effectively with others.
* Must be RAMP certified.
* Must be able to work in smoke filled environments.
* Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure as required by the State Gaming Agency for the position.
* Must have thorough knowledge of approved Responsible Gaming Program.
* Must have full working knowledge of POS.
* Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Educational Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience in a beverage/bar environment.
Physical Requirements
* Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
* Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
* Work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
* Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
* Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Working Conditions
* 24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees.
* Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
