What You'll Do
Prepare and serve drinks for guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. You'll act as an advocate for the bar/restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.
Some of your responsibilities include:
* Greet and welcome our guests and promptly serve them food and beverages.
* Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications, receive and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
* Serve food and drinks to guests, along with filling orders for the servers.
* Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests.
* Fill and clean ice bins, clean and empty trash cans, change kegs, stock beer and wine coolers.
* Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
* Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
* Maintain cooperative communication with support crew and management.
* Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
* We all wear multiple hats here at Kimpton. You may need to take on responsibilities outside of this job post at times, as we all do.
What You Bring
* 1 year of bartending experience is preferred.
* Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
* Excellent wine and spirits knowledge, great communication and presentation skills.
* Knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets, and calculating accurate bill amounts.
* Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable).
* Flexible schedule and are able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Here is what you will be doing each day:
In this role, you will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the bar. Handling of all cash and credit card transactions using the point of sale to create a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

What will you be doing?Lead by example by providing professional, attentive, and engaging service to all guests.
Act as a mentor and role model for servers and server assistants, supporting training and development.
Assist management with daily floor operations, including table assignments, pacing, and guest flow.
Monitor service quality and provide on-the-spot coaching to ensure consistency and excellence.
Communicate clearly with the culinary team, bartenders, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Take and deliver food and beverage orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Anticipate guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve concerns with professionalism.
Assist with side work, opening/closing duties, and ensuring service areas are clean and organized.
Support management with additional duties as needed.

Our upscale, full-service hotel features 194 guest rooms, 24,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, a full-service restaurant Altitude along with a We Proudly Serve Starbucks café. Managed by Reliance Hospitality, our hotel is the only full-service/upscale hotel located near the General Mitchell International Airport. The hotel benefits from its proximity to the airport, 10-minute drive to downtown, along with access to businesses in nearby business parks, Oak Creek, and the surrounding area. Our hotel features the most meeting space outside of downtown Milwaukee and our ballroom can accommodate up to 1,000 people.

Responsibilities:
Leadership and problem-solving abilities
Supervise front of house employees during shift
Use your experience and attentive nature to assist the F&B Manager in all aspects of the restaurant and bar operations to elevate the guest experience and ensure associate safety, overall restaurant cleanliness and set up.
Oversee servers, food runners and bartenders to ensure optimal appearance and exceptional guest care, watchful of guests' needs for service.
Monitor the sidewalk for all servers.
Ensure all staff is aware of any special events or needs for the shift in the restaurant/bar.
Greet and welcome all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
Prepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards and ensure all staff is adhering to the same standards.
Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting and alcoholic beverage service is questionable
Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary
Perform department/outlet opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that wait staff stations are clean and maintained throughout shift
Follow hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the Supervisor or Manager on duty and ensure all staff is following all safety protocols and dress codes.
Take action or assist to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction
Work as a team and communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service
May receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed
May assist with other duties as assigned
