About the role
As a Food Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for our customers. You will be responsible for serving ice cream and related products, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
Customer Service:
Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Assist customers in selecting ice cream flavors, toppings, and other menu items.
Offer recommendations and answer any questions about menu options.
Ensure prompt and efficient service while maintaining a positive attitude.
Food Preparation and Serving:
Prepare ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items according to customer preferences.
Handle and serve food items with care, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
Maintain proper portion control and adhere to food safety guidelines at all times.
Keep serving areas clean and organized, including topping stations and condiment areas.
Cash Handling and Transactions:
Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
Provide customers with receipts and process refunds or exchanges when necessary.
Balance cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
Store Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize serving utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly to ensure food safety.
Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, and supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked.
Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining organization in storage areas.
Follow proper cleaning procedures for closing duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and tables.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tasks.
Manual dexterity to handle serving utensils and operate a cash register.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment for extended shifts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred, but not required.
