Warmly greets guests as they enter the Bistro and approach the counter.
Takes accurate food orders from guests, suggesting add-ons or signature beverages
Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing.
Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage.
Sweep the floors, polish brass and steel, mop, clean glassware and wipe down mirrors in the outlet. Set-up and breakdown the bar.
Assist bar staff when needed.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Assist bar staff when necessary.
Retrieve requisitions (beverage, food and non-food).

Barbacks are responsible for stocking the bar, coolers and storage areas with appropriate items as well as maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of these areas.
