Administrative Support Specialist - Battle Mountain District Office candidates shall work to support requirements for Administrative Support and provide a variety of administrative and professional services for the purpose of supporting the Bureau of Land Management office. Handle inquiries from internal and external customers.
Sell mineral material and firewood permits, maps, National Park passes.
Explain and interpret surface management, land status or wood-cutting area maps.
Respond to difficult problems arising from contacts with the public. Many persons unaccustomed to dealing with public land and title matters are unable to coherently state their problems. This requires the employee to ask probing questions in order to get a clear and accurate understanding of the information sought.
Deal professionally, respectfully, and firmly with people demanding information and services beyond the capabilities and policies of the office. When unable to respond, refer the person to the appropriate specialist.
Perform inventory weekly/bi-weekly and re-stocks so that items are available at all times. All monies collected will be properly documented and processed following appropriate accounting procedures.
Use automated computer systems to submit purchase requisitions, issue and process bills.
Act as cashier to receive payments and balances cash drawer daily.
Provide support with intake, sorting, processing and distribution of US Mail and/or other express mail/package delivery services.
Provide administrative project support compiling, collating, organizing, preparing large documents for printing, distribution, and/or mass mailing.
Become familiar with computer system calendar application in order to make, confirm and/or cancel internal reservations related to meeting room and/or vehicle availability.
Provide basic audio/visual set up of video, phone, teleconferencing devices.
Qualifications
The Administrative Support Specialist - Battle Mountain District Office - Bureau of Land Management (BLM) shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

General Objectives:
The Open Pit Geologist is a salaried exempt position and typically works an 8 on, 6 off, schedule offset from other personnel to provide up to 7 day/week coverage for this role. Responsible for production of mine site mapping and drawings, and design drawings. The position requires an intensive use of CAD (computer-aided drafting). Graphic design work is occasionally required. This position is responsible for providing ore control calculation and generating field survey maps in a timely and accurate manner. The position requires implementation of Blast Movement Monitoring technology including placement of Blast Movement Monitors in drill holes, post blast survey of monitor locations and drone survey of pre and post blast surfaces. This position will assist as requested by engineers in the completion of daily, month-end, annual, and other various mine production reports.
Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Development and implementation of blast hole/ore control programs that reconcile well with mine models.
* Development and implementation of blast movement ore control programs in conjunction with operations personnel and engineers that result in improved mining compliance and delivery of ores to process.

Mixing of new carbon for fines removal prior to sending to processing facilities.

Maintain housekeeping and circuit cleanliness to ensure safe operation

Job Description:
General Objectives:
Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, the Welder typically works a 5/4 rotating day/night schedule. The Welder repairs and maintains mobile equipment through planned maintenance scheduling. Monitors equipment; communicates equipment needs and issues; partners with operations departments and mobile planning to provide both tactical and strategic support for the needs of the mine to operate in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:
The key responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to the following:
* Lead by example, in all of Marigold's safety processes, ensuring safe practices are utilized while performing work.
* Welds metal components together or cuts to fabricate or repair structural members or machinery used at the mine.
* Follows layouts, blueprints or work orders to measure and set up the required work to meet standards.
* Locates and repairs cracks in metal parts/structural members.
* Sets up rigging to position the equipment for the work to be performed.
* Must be able to interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
* Communicates and coordinates all repairs with the maintenance supervisor.
* Ability to order correct parts for procurement from the warehouse or supplier
* Performs work area housekeeping duties.
* Determines if work areas are safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
* Determines severity of equipment down times and estimates time to make repairs
* Willing and comfortable with operating in all weather conditions
* Responsible for compliance with company contamination control policies

Required Skills:
* Must be able to communicate effectively, in English using all standard forms of business communication.
* Knowledge of welding principles, metallurgy and mechanical principles
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and support a 24/7 operation in strenuous physical conditions both indoors and outdoors, day and night shift.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of failure and wear analysis.
* Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures relating to mine equipment and maintenance practices. (i.e. guarding, blocking, lock out tag out)
* Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and use proper tools and procedures for lifting
* Consistent attendance.
Required Experience:
* Own and maintain required personal tools required.
* Minimum of 3 years' hands on welding experience using SMAW and FCAW welding process
* Five years' experience in a mine maintenance environment preferred.
* AWS certification using NDT inspection methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing is preferred.
* Experience with air arc and oxygen acetylene cutting process applicable to the repair of heavy mining equipment
* Must be able to pass a welding test for technical level advancement
* Valid Driver License required.

Repair and rebuild of processing equipment in the Roaster area to include pumps, piping and vessels, in addition to preventative and predictive maintenance routes
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Four (4) years as a journeyman in industrial maintenance or two (2) years maintenance school (completed with certificate) preferred
Demonstrated ability experience in operating crushing/processing equipment including jaw, gyratory and cone crushers, and conveyor belts preferred
Demonstrated ability to work from blueprints and drawings preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and complete repair on all pumps, primary crushers, Omnicones and conveyor systems preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and rebuild gearboxes and pumps including centrifugal and positive displacement preferred
Experience in TIG and MIG welding stainless steel and titanium pipe preferred
Millwright skills to include: hydraulic systems and alignments preferred
Fabrication, machinist and high-pressure welding skills preferred
Excellent safety and attendance record required
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
