The Recovery Behavioral Health Technician acts as a representative of Epiphany Wellness. BHT's observe all client activity and maintain visible presence of the clients at all times. BHT's maintain excellent reporting skills on client whereabouts, any and all issues that arise and basic needs while on shift. BHT's are responsible for making sure clients are attending their clinical hours and getting the help they need to obtain long-term sobriety. We are seeking a Part-Time Recovery Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) who will work closely with clients to support their rehabilitation needs through structured and holistic care. This role supports clients with foundational well-being while helping them develop the skills needed to heal, grow, and sustain long-term sobriety. The Recovery Behavioral Health Technician acts as a representative of Epiphany Wellness. BHTs observe client activity, maintain a visible presence at all times, and ensure clients are attending required clinical programming. This position requires strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. What will your day look like? You will: Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients at all times Support daily and weekly client schedules as outlined by the clinical team Observe and document medication administration for controlled substances, as assigned Ensure completion of client self-observation medication sheets Complete rounds at the beginning, throughout, and at the end of each shift Complete Q30 or hourly rounds as assigned and document accordingly Transport clients to appointments, clinical services, employment, or approved activities in accordance with company driving policies Perform urinalysis and breathalyzer testing as assigned, documenting and reporting results per protocol Complete accurate and timely shift notes Follow the chain of command and report all issues related to clients, staff, or facilities Build positive, professional relationships with clients and coworkers Use BHT communication tools during shifts to maintain continuity of care Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including coverage needs, intakes, and client behavioral changes Conduct searches of client belongings, rooms, or vehicles as directed Report any suicidal or homicidal ideation immediately and appropriately Assist with client intakes following established intake protocols Participate in crisis intervention, including behavioral issues, relapse, or client conflict Support AMA prevention efforts as needed Enforce client rules and report non-compliance to supervisors What you will need for this position: Minimum of one (1) year in the recovery or substance use disorder field (preferred) Working knowledge of 12-Step programs (AA/NA preferred) High School Diploma or GED required Behavioral Health Technician certification preferred CPR and First Aid certification preferred Valid Driver's License required Who we are: Epiphany Wellness is a state-of-the-art alcohol and drug addiction treatment provider with locations in Blackwood, New Jersey and Nashville, Tennessee.
