Responsibilities
Work in a 19-bed Pediatric ICU within a hospital setting
Night shifts with a schedule of 4x12 hours, 19:00 to 7:30
Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required
Patient ratio is typically 1:2 or more, depending on acuity
Will float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed for appropriate assignments
Possible additional float units based on skill set and hospital needs
Utilizes Medtronic pacemakers and tele monitoring equipment
Experience with BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies required
Charting is completed in Epic EMR; prior experience preferred

Team structure supports collaborative care across multiple pediatric departments
Navy blue scrubs are required for this position

At least 1 year of cardiac experience in the pediatric setting strongly preferred

Must be skilled in either scrubbing or monitoring procedures
Epic EMR is used for charting
Main responsibilities include providing nursing care during a variety of Cath Lab procedures and assisting with both neuro and vascular cases as needed
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Previous staff of the RWJBH health system must have a one-year break in service before applying as a traveler
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
No block scheduling is permitted for this assignment
Work attire is hospital scrubs as required by the department
Requirements
Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
Experience with cardiac caths, PCI, EP ablations, leg angio, permcaths, lysis, neuro-cerebral angio, Impella, Roto, Shockwave, IABP, CSI, LS Pro, Carto/Ensite X, and Watchman implants required
Vascular experience with IVCF highly preferred
Neuro scrub experience is helpful
Must be able to function in circulating, scrubbing, and/or monitoring roles as needed
