Job Type: Full-time On Site The Wide Web Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of a high-speed, multi-color Central Impression (CI) flexographic printing press ranging from 52 to 55 inches in width. This role requires extensive knowledge of flexible packaging substrates (films, foils, laminates), solvent and water-based inks, and a deep commitment to producing high-quality print in accordance with customer specifications, while maintaining efficiency and safety standards. Need a seasoned, well experienced pressman who can perform almost immediately. Candidates who seem to match these requirements will be flown in to observe and then to work on site for evaluation at company expense. Reports to the Press Department Manager ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Press Operations and Setup Setup: Mount and register printing plates, install anilox rolls, adjust ink pumping systems, and prepare doctor blades according to job specifications. Operation: Operate the flexographic press (e.g., W&H, Bobst, Comexi) at optimal speed to achieve production targets while maintaining excellent print quality, registration, and color consistency at optimum web speed without compromising quality. Substrate Management: Handle large, wide rolls of substrate, including loading and unloading using roll-handling equipment (forklift and roll lifts). Monitor web tension, treating systems (e.g., corona/plasma), and drying systems. No experience with treating systems is required. Ink Management: Experience with Solvent based inks a prerequisite, Client does not use water based inks Viscosity checks and adjust Mix and manage solvent- based inks, ensuring color match to specified Pantone standards or approved targets using spectrophotometers. Company uses only solvent based inks, so water based ink experience isn't required. 2. Quality Control and Compliance Inspection: Continuously monitor print quality for defects such as mis-registration, color variations, haloing, dirty print, skips, and streaking. Measurement: Use precision instruments (spectrophotometers, densitometers and micrometers) to verify color, density, and registration. No stroboscope = video web inspection only. Documentation: Accurately complete all production paperwork, including run reports, quality checks, material usage, and downtime logs. Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including proper handling of flammable materials (solvents/inks) and Lockout/Tagout procedures. 3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and print-related issues, making appropriate adjustments or escalating complex problems to maintenance personnel. Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the press, including cleaning ink pans, anilox rolls, plate cylinders, and maintaining the press area to 5S standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating wide web (50"+) multi-color CI flexographic printing presses. Experience with solvent-based inks is essential. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of flexographic printing principles, plate mounting techniques, anilox selection, and color theory. Mechanical Aptitude: Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve press operational issues promptly. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle large rolls of material using assisted equipment. Must be able to distinguish colors accurately. Join the transformation and help us make this impact now. Overview AV seeks a Senior Program Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the Space RF Systems (SRFS) portfolio. This multi-hire position requires high-level technical execution and cross-functional management, serving either as: Deputy Program Manager for the primary BADGER program. Program Lead for BADGER/WASP IRAD and commercial development efforts. The successful candidate will manage the full production lifecycle, from engineering design transition through final delivery, with a focus on maximizing customer satisfaction and program growth. Key Responsibilities Program Management & Financial Control Develop, manage, and maintain program plans, schedules, and budgets from inception to completion. Monitor program financial performance, expenditures, and forecasts for the SRFS portfolio and IRAD budgets. Coordinate resource allocation and optimization in collaboration with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Group Leads. Monitor production metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction and efficiency. Stakeholder & Contract Management Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders (PM Team, Contracts, Finance, Purchasing). Perform contract administration, including reviewing terms, monitoring deliverables, and managing contract modifications. Collaborate with Contracts and Legal teams to ensure program compliance and mitigate scope creep. Coordinate technical teams to ensure a smooth transition of products from design to Operations/Manufacturing. Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the production process. Risk Management & Reporting Monitor project progress and milestones, proactively identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned to enhance future project performance. Develop and present formal schedule, financial, and technical briefings to both internal staff and external R&D customers. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Minimum 12 - 15 years of experience in Program Management. Knowledge of production planning and scheduling techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with and understanding of DoD contracting and the acquisition process. Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance Desired Qualifications MS or advanced degree in an Engineering or Program Management field. Minimum 10+ years of experience managing technical programs with a budget of $100M or greater. Experience with the design and development of complex phased array systems is highly preferred. Prior experience with satellite ground systems. Experience with Unanet ERP or similar enterprise resource planning system. Experience with business intelligence reporting (e.g., PowerBI) and Microsoft Project. Demonstrated experience supporting proposal development and contract negotiation. Experience in the Aerospace or US Department of Defense sectors. AV is seeking an experienced Test Engineer for multiple programs within the Space Technologies division. The Space Technologies division has been developing the techniques, systems, subsystems, and design elements required to implement high reliability optomechanical and electrical systems. The Test Engineer is a key member of an integrated team operating in a very dynamic environment. The candidate will work across engineering disciplines to help define V&V statements, develop SW for automated tests and provide overall systems support for multiple programs. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering background to support the development, verification, and qualification of spaceflight hardware. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing tests on electrical systems, harnesses, and embedded electronics used in spacecraft and space science instruments. On any given day the selected candidate may be asked to perform the following: Work within the systems test team to refine System/Subsystem requirement verification statements and verification cross-reference matrices to ensure the requirements are testable. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for spaceflight hardware, ensuring all electrical components and systems meet functional and performance specifications. Utilize test equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to validate design and functionality. Conduct detailed timing analysis and signal integrity checks on high-speed digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, LVDS, SpaceWire), ensuring accurate communication between subsystems. Work closely with electrical design engineers, systems engineers, and software teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance. Develop and design hardware and software for automated test equipment as well as supporting existing systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and technicians. Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve system test design automation, integration, SIL integration, and off-site tests. Work with the Systems Team to ensure proper requirement Verification and Validation methodology and execution. Experience performing board-level checkout and debugging of complex electronic assemblies. Experience in automated control and measurement systems. Experience in System design, Verification, and Validation Experience testing performance of systems in a cleanroom environment. Experience developing integration and test plans/procedures and reports. Experience in signal processing. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance Desired Qualifications: B.S. or higher in (Engineering or related field) with 3 - 6 years of experience 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles (spaceflight or aerospace preferred). Familiarity with FPGA- or microcontroller-based systems and associated debugging techniques. Solid understanding of embedded systems and digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, LVDS, SpaceWire, etc.). Hands-on experience in conducting environmental tests for spaceflight hardware or satellite systems in a cleanroom environment. Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, and JAVA Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to assume technical responsibility for pieces of a program or multiple programs.
