The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of security guards and ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Leadership. Each Captain is responsible for working with the Program Manager to foster a “one-team” culture among all supervisors and PSOs where each Captain accepts responsibility for our entire security operation at SSA and not just a single shift or group of PSOs. Each Captain has the authority to issue disciplinary action in conformance with the Company's Progressive Disciplinary Policy and other applicable policies. Attendance. Each Captain is responsible for ensuring all PSOs report to work on time and for relieving PSOs in the event of early departures due to illness or other unexpected event. Working with the Program Manager, each Captain is responsible for the fair and consistent enforcement of our attendance policy in accordance with our Progressive Disciplinary Policy. Performance Recognition. Each Captain is responsible for working with the Program Manager to create a work environment where excellence is rewarded. PSO QC Inspections. Each Captain is responsible for conducting inspections of all PSOs at the beginning of their shifts and periodically thereafter. The Catering Captain is responsible for ensuring the proper execution of weddings and high-end social catered events. Work is performed under the general direction of the Facility Manager and Catering Chef, with some latitude for independent judgment.
