The Peace Center is a major nonprofit performing arts center serving a growing and sophisticated audience in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the dominant performing arts center in the State and region. Built on a six-acre campus with an aesthetic mix of new architecture and historic buildings, the campus is at the hub of Greenville's nationally recognized downtown.
The Peace Center venues include the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, the 400-seat Gunter Theatre, the 1,400-capacity outdoor Peace Pavilion, Genevieve's Lounge, and the Huguenot Mill which includes two event spaces: the Ramsaur Studio and the Huguenot Loft. Opening in 2025 will be two additional music venues: the 250-seat Mockingbird (a listening room), and the 1150 capacity Coach Factory (flat floor club).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Event Captain supports the Event Services Manager in overseeing day-of event operations for private gatherings at the Peace Center. This role ensures seamless execution, coordinates event logistics, and helps deliver an exceptional experience for guests and clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include, but are not limited to)
Directly responsible to the Event Services Manager for the performance of all hourly event staff, and personal representative of the Peace Center to clients and vendors.
Provides ongoing direction, supervision and monitoring of event staff.
Inspect the set-up of the Event space, checking them against the Banquet Event Order and floorplan.
Assist with coordination day of logistics including load-in, set-up, execution and breakdown of events.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all FOH and BOH Event Spaces during/after each event.
Work closely with the Beverage Manager to maintain bar/beverage standards at each event.
Observe all company safety and security policies to ensure safety of self, event guests, vendors and coworkers.
Develop and maintain a positive relationship between clients, vendors, and the Peace Center.
Completing the Event Captains Report after each event.
Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of experience coordinating events, or other relevant industry experience;
Working knowledge of industry trends in event décor and coordination;
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

Job Summary
Summary: Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served and cleared in a timely fashion. Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director. May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines workload requirements from catering orders.
Meets with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; addresses last-minute changes and resolves problems.
Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a service-oriented manner.
Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items.
Instructs staff on work expectations for catered functions.
Helps staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
Assembles and delivers food and supplies to scheduled locations.
Serves food and beverages to guests.
Returns food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
Ensures proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.

Overview
The Banquet Captain/Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assisting with the set-up, service and clean-up of all assigned banquet functions.
Responsibilities

Job Summary:
The Customer and Product Training (CAPT) Program is a nine (9) month salaried curriculum that offers recent college graduates a comprehensive sales, product, and application training for Dodge mechanical power transmission products. The CAPT Trainee will reside in Greenville, SC, and report to the Dodge corporate office. Upon completion of the program, the CAPT graduate will be assigned to a Dodge sales territory in the continental United States as a Field Sales Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Expertise
• Learn and understand our product line, including mechanical power transmission components such as gears, bearings, couplings, and drive systems.
Selling Skills
• Participate in sales training programs and workshops to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
Organizational Leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to offer comprehensive solutions to customer needs.
Strategic Execution
• Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
Resource Utilization
• Learn to maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software and other e-tools platforms.
Required Qualifications:
• Willingness to re-locate to Greenville, SC for the duration of the 9-month training program.
• Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Business with a Sales emphasis.
Physical Requirements:
• Walk distances within customer sites that may have adverse conditions such as high heat, humidity, dust, underground, heights
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Overnight travel as needed
• Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds
• Reach, climb, crawl
• Speak and present in person or virtually to individuals and small groups
Essential Job Functions:
• Master product knowledge, selling skills, commercial acumen, and industry application expertise in both office and field settings
• Conduct field rides with veteran sellers to distributor branches and customer sites
• Develop relationships and network within the Dodge organization at headquarters, manufacturing facilities, and field sales
• Conduct presentations in front of internal and external audiences to demonstrate mastery of assigned topics
• Assist with plant surveys at customer facilities to determine current installed product and support the evaluation of potential replacements with Dodge products via interchange/conversion
• Regular attendance at work is a necessary function of the role
