Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United's global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United's customers. Job overview and responsibilities:
The Dispatcher is responsible for joint operational control with the Pilot in Command to ensure the safe, legal, and efficient operation of United Airlines flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Manuals. The successful candidate possesses strong organizational skills and is detail oriented. Additionally, strong written and verbal communication skills accompanied by a high work ethic are a must.
* Prepares the flight release
* Monitors flight progress
* Analyzes and disseminates meteorological information, reviews maintenance limitations and calculates the amount of fuel required for safe flight
* Updates the pilot in command of significant changes to the flight plan and provides assistance during irregular and emergency situations
* Maintains qualification and competency in accordance with FAA and UAL requirements
* Interacts with other United Airlines' departments including Maintenance Control, Operations Planning and Meteorology
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
* High school diploma, GED or education equivalent
* FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
* 1 year of Airline Operations experience
* Must be able to work any shift/any day including holidays
* Must pass DOT background and DOT drug screen
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
* Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
* Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The starting rate for this role is $7,671 per month.

Job Responsibilities
The duties of a Captain include:
Acting as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled
Providing excellent customer service to passengers
Following schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
Ensuring that preflight inspections are performed
Studying weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports, and departure points
Preparing flight plans
Ensuring that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
Reviewing and calculating the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts
Managing the SIC (second in command) in all responsibilities needed to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft
Coordinating the functioning of all crewmembers assigned to the flight
Managing and communicating with crew, and other team members, while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and CRM, in alignment with the BD Way
Ensuring that aircraft operations are in accordance with BD Aviation Flight Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, including strict adherence to checklists by all crew members
Participating in the Safety Management System by crafting a flight risk analysis for all flight segments. Filing safety reports as needed and helping maintain a positive safety culture.
Monitoring crew performance, sharing knowledge with crewmembers, and evaluating crewmember potential for advancement
Making decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
Required Skills:
Flight training received through an FAA-approved school or training program
Two (2) years of recent background as a pilot in Corporate Aviation
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating with appropriate aircraft and type ratings
FAA 1st class medical certificate
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
Position is based out of Morristown, NJ, and the ideal candidate should be within approximately 1.5 hour driving distance of the base

Captains at BD are responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which they are assigned. Captains report directly to the Chief Pilot.
The Captain holds ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft. Captains must adhere to all federal, state, local, and international regulations, along with the policies and procedures outlined in the company operations manual. Captains serve as the company's primary representative to the passengers and must conduct themselves with tact and decorum while maintaining an efficient and safe operation.
**Job Responsibilities**
The duties of a Captain include:
+ Acting as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled
+ Providing excellent customer service to passengers
+ Following schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
+ Ensuring that preflight inspections are performed
+ Studying weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports, and departure points
+ Preparing flight plans
+ Ensuring that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
+ Reviewing and calculating the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts
+ Managing the SIC (second in command) in all responsibilities needed to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft
+ Coordinating the functioning of all crewmembers assigned to the flight
+ Managing and communicating with crew, and other team members, while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and CRM, in alignment with the BD Way
+ Ensuring that aircraft operations are in accordance with BD Aviation Flight Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, including strict adherence to checklists by all crew members
+ Participating in the Safety Management System by crafting a flight risk analysis for all flight segments. Filing safety reports as needed and helping maintain a positive safety culture.
+ Monitoring crew performance, sharing knowledge with crewmembers, and evaluating crewmember potential for advancement
+ Making decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
**Required Skills:**
+ Flight training received through an FAA-approved school or training program
+ Two (2) years of recent background as a pilot in Corporate Aviation
+ FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating with appropriate aircraft and type ratings
+ FAA 1st class medical certificate
+ FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
+ Position is based out of Morristown, NJ, and the ideal candidate should be within approximately 1.5 hour driving distance of the base
**Preferred Skills:**
