About the Opportunity
Do you enjoy helping other people understand complex concepts in economics? A summer internship on the Fifth District's Economic Outreach team might be a good fit for you. You will support the bank's Economic Education, Community Development and Regional Economic initiatives and programs. Can you see yourself developing and maintaining educational resources, preparing presentations for summer conferences, identifying and developing a deeper understanding of the role community colleges play in preparing our workforce? Through these and other projects, you will learn from economic professionals and interact with external audiences.
The Summer Internship Program provides outstanding students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at a unique institution. Through advanced project work assignments and professional development activities, interns are provided with an extensive understanding of the work of the Federal Reserve. The Research Outreach intern will have the opportunity to enhance business skills through designing educational resources and supporting the planning of several workshops, conferences, and events along with mentorship and exclusive networking opportunities.
What You Will Do:
Assists department with development and design of new resources and programs.
Supports the planning and managing of meetings, workshops, conferences and events.
Supports efforts in developing innovative marketing and communication materials.
Prepares resource and handout packets for presentations.
Tabulates evaluations and analyzes feedback for programs; conducts information searches and provides summaries, checks facts and references.
Assists in coordinating presentations at the location.
Performs miscellaneous research duties, such as literature reviews and special projects.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled college student, preferably rising junior or senior status and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Significant economics coursework required
The ideal candidate is an economics major with some background in engaging with the public or education.
Familiarity with the Federal Reserve System
Strong interpersonal skills; strong presentation skills that would translate to comfort in a classroom/museum setting.
Ability to think creatively and develop creative presentation and marketing materials
Basic knowledge of and experience in use of research techniques.

What you'll do:
Our Quantitative Risk Analyst Interns, work under direct supervision and following risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:
* Applies foundational knowledge to support the assessment of future risk, opportunities, and efficiency.
* Applies foundational learning to help support the team in producing standard methodologies that quantify risk and aggregate exposures.
* May assist with model validation activities and model validation reporting.

The Digital department leads technology experiences at Navy Federal including our mobile application, website, and the core service management system used by frontline employees in call centers and branch locations. The digital platforms serve over 12+ million members and team members, as well as support close to 3 billion digital sessions in a year. Within this larger department, the Digital Strategy team is a small and mighty group of Business Systems Analysts, Program Managers, and Technical Program Managers focused on orchestrating the Digital portfolio of work across internal teams and the enterprise. We drive strategic roadmaps, develop and facilitate planning events, champion Agile best practices across internal silos, research and balance new product and feature ideas submitted from across the credit union, develop strategies and recommendations for executives, and articulate the vision for selected strategies across the credit union. The Summer Associate Graduate Intern will report to leadership that is located at the San Diego, CA campus. The team itself is spread across three of Navy Federal's campuses (Vienna, Pensacola, and San Diego). Project responsibilities may focus on strategies around industry analysis, internal product management best practices, and member behavior. An ideal candidate will have an interest in bringing together recommendations that holistically consider the competitive environment, organizational design, and the details of how the underlying technology works.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.

KBW's Investment Banking 10-Week Summer Analyst Program provides students with a hands-on introduction to the role of an Analyst. You will work alongside our banking professionals, from the Analyst through the Managing Director levels, and will gain exposure to a variety of transactions, including merger and acquisition advisory services as well as debt and equity financings.

What You'll Bring
The program will provide Summer Analyst with an in-depth understanding of the daily responsibilities of an Investment Banking analyst. Interns will assume significant responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
Support deal teams in creating, maintaining, and utilizing complex financial models to analyze company projections or potential transactions
Perform financial and valuation analysis such as discounted cash flow analysis and multiple valuation analysis
Conduct company and industry research and gain an in-depth understanding of sector trends
Prepare client presentation materials in coordination with internal deal team and clients
Develop a deep understanding of Investment Banking products and services by participating in client calls or meetings
Engage in company and credit-oriented research and due diligence processes
Prepare financial and transaction documents including marketing memoranda
Contribute to the development and communication of proposals and advice to current and prospective clients
