The Central Coast Radio Club was founded at Gosford, NSW, on Friday 18th October 1957 at Gosford School of Arts Hall, Mann Street, Gosford, and 37 people attended the opening meeting.
Four members of the N.S.W. W.I.A. council attended, including State President Pierce Healy VK2APQ. The Club’s beginnings were recorded in RADIO TELEVISION & HOBBIES, December 1957.
The Key Training Center was established in 1966 to unlock and open the door of opportunity for people with developmental disabilities.
The grueling 180-mile run originated in July of 1976 to bring awareness to the battles and triumphs of the I/DD and to advocate that all people deserve to live their lives with dignity and respect.
Honda was moved into their new facility in 1980 and still operates at 1 Veterans Drive today.
In 1986, Schaller Acura became the first Acura dealer in Connecticut, opening at 345 Center Street in Manchester.
In 1991, Mitsubishi was added to the company and operates at 25 Veterans Drive.
Since joining the company in 1992, Art Jr. has followed the lead of past generations and has volunteered his time at many local civic organizations.
In 2003 the Schaller Auto World fund was established as a donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain.
The original Schaller Oldsmobile facility at 55 Veterans Drive was completely renovated in 2011 as a State of the Art Body Shop.
