Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while transporting freight between terminals.
• Load and unload trailer, either individually or with assistance of dockworkers. Mechanic freight handling equipment may be used where available and appropriate.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
• Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
• Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
• Drive tractor-trailer in all conditions in accordance with Federal regulations, normally in periods of driving within hours of service limitations, followed by an off-duty period as required by regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• A minimum age of 23.
• A minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• All drivers must pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
• All drivers must possess, or obtain within the required time period, and maintain Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements on their current valid driver's license issued by the resident state in which they reside.
• All drivers are to possess only one valid driver's license (CDL) issued by the resident state of the driver. Operators who have recently transferred from another state must produce a copy of the former license or provide license information for verification from that state. Drivers will need to provide information on all licenses held within the previous 36 months.
• No record of citation or conviction of any DUI / OWI or Reckless Driving within the previous 5 years.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result.
• Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative controlled substances and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past three-year period. No prior evidence of controlled substance use.
• There must be no instance of refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test within the past three-year period, including pre-employment testing.
• Must consent to a 10-year check on work history. Gaps of 30 days or more must be listed and explained. You may be asked to provide documentation. Discrepancies may prevent your application from being processed or withdrawal of the job offer.

Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A
22 years of age with a satisfactory MVR driving record.
Preferred proven experience as a class A CDL driver but willing to train.
Current DOT Physical and Medical Card, knowledge of applicable federal, state, and industry truck driving rules and regulations on public roads and private properties.
Ability to handle long hours and adapt to various weather conditions.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Summary
The Long-Haul Truck Driver is responsible for the over-the-road (OTR) pickup and delivery of Volm and sourced products at company and customer locations across the United States and Canada. Drivers are responsible for ensuring pickups and deliveries are made safely and according to customer schedules. Vehicles operated typically include late model tractors with a 53-foot reefer or dry van trailer. Our most common routes are to and from our locations in Antigo, WI; Idaho Falls, ID; Monte Vista CO; Fresno, CA; Pasco WA; and Brantford, Ontario.
Essential Duties
Comply with all safety, quality, and warehouse regulations.
Obey all traffic laws and Department of Transportation(DOT)regulations.
Perform safety checks on all trucking equipment before departure.
Report any mechanical issues right away to Manager.
Accurately maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment while loading, unloading, and moving materials in the warehouse.
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship/transport).
Transport loads from warehouse to customer location in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Inspect product for defects/damages and report issues to Manager.
Maintain regular contact with Manager to receive updated delivery and customer location information.
Maintain accurate records and documentation including invoices, International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)forms, payroll/trip sheets, receipts, etc., and ensure they are completed legibly and submitted timely.
Keep clean and safe working area and vehicle.

The ability to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of the company is required. Inclusion in the company's driver qualification program is required to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle.
Becoming a qualified driver includes:
Agree to the company driving policies that apply to company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle as applicable.
Possess and maintain a valid driver license and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Maintain an acceptable driving record, as evidenced by completion of a baseline motor vehicle record check and ongoing monitoring.

$29.00-$31.00 an hour. Paid bi-weekly.
