Must register as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee upon hire with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Persons enrolled in a pharmacy technician training program must obtain a pharmacy technician trainee registration if they will be performing the duties of a pharmacy technician. Preferred Qualifications: * Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent * Experience: 6 months minimum relevant experience * Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration required. CPhT credential through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required. For team members hired prior to February 1, 2020, certification as CPhT through NHA or PTCB is required by January 31, 2022. Physical Demands: Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. Onboarding Requirements: Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $19.49 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * Responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual. * Required to follow all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards. * Know MSDS information about all materials used during work. * Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training. * Must complete and follow Confined Space training. * Must complete Right-to-Know training. * Must complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training. * Must complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
