The Solid Waste Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing waste management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical expertise in waste disposal and recycling. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of waste management principles. * Develop and implement waste management plans to meet environmental standards and regulations. * Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of waste management systems. * Design and oversee the construction of waste disposal facilities. * Stay informed about advancements in waste management technology and industry best practices. * Conduct research and analysis to identify innovative waste management solutions. * Monitor waste management systems and evaluate their effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements as needed. * Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on waste management issues. * Prepare reports detailing waste management activities, compliance, and performance. What you will need to succeed: Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of five years of experience working as a Solid Waste Engineer or a similar role. * Strong knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices. * Proficient in waste management software and tools. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. What you can expect to be doing: Haley Ward is looking for a BIM Technician who will provide technical assistance for current and upcoming projects and is accountable for the technical, production, and quality results of those projects demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness. In addition, this position will assist in the administration, coordination, planning, and delivery of assigned projects. Responsibilities * Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry-related standards relating to BIM/CAD scope delivery. * Assist in the review and documentation of BIM/CAD projects. * Assist at an administrative level with project management activities (document management, annotation, etc.). * Maintain a working knowledge of relevant architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, building codes and construction technologies. * Modeling, coordination, and drafting of assigned projects. * Collaborate on the integration of BIM/CAD into models or other project delivery tools. * Assist in the implementation of supporting software for BIM/CAD, including methods for facilitating the transfer of drawings, field notes, mark-ups and peer review comments between the office and job sites. * Assist with BIM/CAD standards development, implementation, and enforcement. * Responsible for utilizing BIM/CAD design standards within company Project Management Standards. * Support project standards coordination with clients Working Conditions * Work is typically performed in an office setting. * Occasional travel may be required. What you will need to succeed: Required * Minimum of 3 years production experience in design, drafting or engineering in the AEC industry. * Exposure to architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and piping layouts and designs * Knowledge of typical project workflows and collaboration with other team consultants * Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current Revit and AutoCAD versions with emphasis on project setup, including Navisworks Manage. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education in BIM/CAD. * Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently. * Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents. * General knowledge of architecture and building systems (MEP: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment), and a willingness to learn. * Production experience in design, drafting or engineering in the AEC industry. * Ability to perform mathematical computations, using laser measuring tools. * Ability to prepare and compile comprehensive 2D plans. Preferred * 3 years of experience in virtual modeling in the construction industry. Architectural, mechanical and construction engineering education and/or ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing documents to transform to 2-D and 3-D, drafting and modeling, respectively, using current Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP or similar programs. * 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * College degree in a BIM/CAD related field * Industry or software certifications a plus. Represents clients at regulatory agency hearings or meetings. * Performs overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and reports regularly on project status to Project Manager. * Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. * Responsible for the design concept of the plans and specifications. * Consults and advises field engineers, contractors, and inspectors regarding the construction phase of the project. * Communicates with the Project Manager on project strategy and matters that may impact the outcome of a project. * Assists in preparation of project proposals including scope of work, time schedule, and manpower estimates. * Promotes new business for the total company and for own area of expertise.
